Chelsea is reportedly ready to reject approaches from Real Madrid and Barcelona for Eden Hazard and are confident they can hold on to their star man for at least another season.
Chelsea is willing to hand Hazard a new contract worth over £300,000-a-week to stay at Stamford Bridge and talks between his representatives and the club are likely to take place over the course of the next week. (Telegraph)

I hope this is just me being cynical but my guess is, this is the club ’saying to the fans, that it tried everything to keep the player but he was determined to leave and we don’t keep unhappy players!

Hazard isn't unhappy though, he made that clear. He won't kick up a fuss unlike Courtois.
