I find the Werner purchase interesting as Chelsea seem to have steered away from players that have had their head turned by other clubs in the past, Neymar and Griezmann come to mind from memory. But when you compare that Dembele could of cost between 60-80M I think we've made the right call. Exciting times to be a Chelsea fan, I'd assume this would mean any chance of Sancho moving to Chelsea is done unless there was something drastic to happen Ed?

Out of curiosity, are Chelsea signing Werner to play as a striker or will he play as an attacking winger on the left side?

Do you see him taking the place of Giroud, Ed002? I remember you previously saying that Giroud may yet leave despite signing a new deal, and I do wonder if it will be easy to find a market for MB given that he is out of contract next summer I believe.

Ed, is Havertz's situation similar to Sancho's or is there some optimism in getting a deal done for the former?
