Tuchel appointed the new manager of Bayern one of Europes great clubs.
Well deserved particularly after the way he was treated at Chelsea.
Hope he goes onto to win the CL now.

I wish TT success in his career but how on earth can a any supporter want another club to win a competition we are still in. Total Joke.

One other thing, did our new owners treat TT badly? As far as I understand it, they just decided they couldn’t work with him.

TT seems to have a career record now of doing well for a season or so at a club then falling out with those who run it. Something which some of us mentioned at time of his appointmemt. But he tightened up the defence, got tactics right in many big games and we got a UCL trophy from his management plus top 4 spots and several domestic cup finals. Though we played some pretty dull and poor football in EPL if especially v lower clubs. But we won the UCL under him, plus the Super Cup and World Club championship, fantastic, and we will always remember him for that. But no Blues supporter would want him to win the UCL under Bayern when CFC are still in the competition!

AS I understand the Club's Potter project now, it is a major reshaping and rebuilding of our squad to play a more fluid 'system' (like Man City? Real Madrid? ) and attractive brand of soccer that may not get us anything this season but is intended to get us better equipped to do so in the future. Seems to me that the apparent weird substitions and line-up changes - which will confess have angered me at times - have several aims. In positive terms they may well be about gettng to a situation where all in squad can fit in, rotation easier, all know how to play in system with much fluidity of shape and movement. Though there must also be an element of keeping as many as possible happy and some in the shop window cos there will be quite a few outgoings in the summer.

Having said that, we should still have wone more games and our set pieces have gone backwards.

I agree with that view @JBS.

On the set-piece front, attacking ones seem improved in general (though we have to be aware of positioning in transition, case in point Borussia Dortmund. Our defensive approach however seems very inconsistent and definitely is an area for improvement.

In terms of defending set-pieces I always think back to one of the seasons under Ancelotti whereby we seemed impenetrable…until we conceced a set-piece and the opposition seemed to score all the time! Football can be a strange game at the best of times….

Got lucky in the UCL that Pep decided to play some stupid formation after they’d already handed you your arse on a plate in the league.

I can tell you 11 players he improved from Lampards reign but presumably that doesn't count in your parallel universe?
In addition the man was managing the club through the most tumultuous time in its history with injuries to the most important players in his formation.
Despite that we won the biggest prize in football got to several other finals and finished in the top 4.
All by good fortune. Righto.
