My heads spinning at the moment with all these defender bids being rejected, if there true we have just bid for 3 different centre backs in the space of 3 days,9 days before the window shuts, why didn't we do this 9 days into the window?, so we had room to negotiate? , and leave the selling club to get replacements, oh well bring on the panic buys then.

Cat I agree with you and although I will always try and be positive and support my Chelsea it just seems we waste massive amounts of time on transfer that "probably or maybe" won't happen and leave ourselves no time. I am not saying be held at random neither but have a final price and at some point give your best offer and move on. We have not learnt our lesson from past couple years. Now unfortunately we will have to massively overpay as it is final hours and world knows we are desperate or we settle for average players to fill our pressing need at end as we simply can't have just 5 defenders or we will be the laughing stock! AKA Djillobodji, Raman, Falcao, Pato, Pedro. I can see same thing happening again.

Yeah my biggest gripe is the season finishes in May, the window opens 2 months later, some teams make there bids before the window opens, agree a deal with the club, agree a deal with the player then the day the window opens they register with Fifa and the fa and who ever else, I just don't understand how we've let it get to nearly the last week and still we can't get a deal done, does anybody know on here how transfers work? , how long it takes from identifying a player, to making a bid, to agreeing a contract, and actually signing for us eds or posters? , I know all deals will be different but just a basic transfer procedure?
