So toothless, looks as if run out of ideas, pressed Cesc more second half and it seems to have stopped us playing, can't keep ball or win it back, hope CHO is last sub,

No firepower whatsoever and still tippy tap, short passing backwards and forwards with no penetration. Emerson looks good on the ball going forward not so sure at the moment on his defence.

Great game by the boys. Well done Chelsea.

{Ed002's Note - There will be a lot of disappointed people here with Chelsea winning Shak.}

Don’t think many people will be disappointed on the Chelsea side haha. I get some people wanting Hudson-Odoi and Ampadu to play but they will be plenty of time for that it’s still the start of the season they will get there chance I’m sure of it. It’s crazy that only 6 or 7 months ago people on this site wanted us to cash in on hazard.

{Ed002's Note - You might want to read the posts from earlier. They want the Under 12s playing every week and don’t like Sarri. The new style supporters continue to be an embarrassment I am afraid.}

Liverpool supporter in piece.

Congrats on the win.

If i'm honest I think maybe we were a little hard done by, but i suppose overall it was a pretty close contest. You played great in the 1st half at times and i think 2nd half i was sure we'd go on and take it. Though with Matip and Moreno god knows. It's practically russian roulette.

But anyway, my main point. Hazard is something else. You need to get him nailed down whatever it takes. Even as a Liverpool supporter I just love watching him play. When he downed tools it was disappointing and I lost respect but on his day he is literally unplayable. He has the quality to carry a team to the title he's that good. If he left the PL i'd be gutted. And that's coming from a L'pool supporter.

That being said I can't wait to decimate you on Satuday when the big boys play :D.

Take care guys.

Completely agree with you Ed002. It actually stunned me to see how many Chelsea fans i've seen throughout social media who want Sarri to fail. I remember after the community shield there was a group of fans who were already criticising him saying he isn't good enough. I understand peoples frustration with not seeing the youth been given a chance but to turn on him for it is pathetic. We were hardly dealt an easy draw and it's easier for a manager to pick more experienced players than it is the youth, especially in big fixtures whether it'd be the Carabao or not. Unfortunately in the modern day there seems to be a lot of these fans in a lot of fanbases, we just seem to have more than others who are over reactionary ( i can be at times) and unsupportive.

I try not to take any notice to persons like that how can they not want him there? I like the new system we play we have so much more of the ball. People may have a proplem with Kantes roll in the team, time will tell with that one it’s still to early to judge that yet. Unless we are winning 5-0 every game some people are never happy. They wanted us to sell hazard last season when he had a dip in form and I bet it won’t be long before the same people are saying we should cash in on Kante.

Most of those wanting to cash in with Hazard were fed up with the 'apparent' veiled threats about wanting join Real Madrid, talent wise I doubt anyone would want him to go. The same applied to Courtois (he had a blinder last night) . Kante is a slightly different issue, at the moment I do not think him playing further forward is his strength, that is patrolling the first two thirds of the pitch not the final one.

Why will any fan want his coach to fail? When even the dumbest kid knows that his coach failing would mean his beloved club fails too. Fans on the other hand will always criticize their coaches and players (to see the best of them) cos they are human beings with reservations and emotions.
Some fans can really bottle up their emotions while others can't (all human differences) . Football is an entertainment sport so you can never rule out fans showing emotions at least not when the game is played to entertain the so called fans.
As humans though and fans that we are it's better we behave properly but don't judge a fan that's emotional and vocal (it's all part of the game's beauty) .

Ed2, I couldn't agree with your comments more mate. I just find the negatives here very embarrassing.

Few months ago Hazard was criticised, Pedro is supposedly deadwood and Sarri should never have been our manager due to PR issues etc, unproven etc. David Luiz is clown etc.

All I'll say is I'm glad Sarri the manager and he decides who plays.

LondonBlues, I’m shocked that any so called Chelsea supporter on any media outlet would wish anything but success to Sarri and the team.

There are some strange people/ supporters in this world.
