Didn’t even bother watching the game this morning at 5 am, find myself not caring as much when we play terribly like this. I can’t imagine how hard it is supporting an actual bad team lol.

Anyway the lack of long term planning and an actual DOF is affecting us. If the board sack sarri they’ve done an awful job.

Appointing him and expecting success is an absolute joke when we still have Jose players set out to play a 4231 counter. Expecting Marcos Alonso and Azpilicueta to be good fullbacks in this system is asking for trouble.

Either sarri needs to be flexible, or we need to actually back him and not expect top 4 this season. We need two new fullbacks, a right winger, a new centre back and another midfielder. I’m not talking about Drinkwater’s or Barkley’s either I’m talking actual improvements on the side instead of squad players.

Can be over the duration of two years but these are the types of players we need to be targeting, not discounted squad players who don’t improve the side.

Kovacic is overated and Hysaj is average. I’d be tempted to sell all four full backs. That’s Azpi, Alonso, Zappa and Emerson. Azpi isn’t suited to a back four no more so no point keeping him we need to be ruthless. Get Reece James back asap. I’d even bring Jay Da Silva in as back up left back he’ll probably do more than Emerson. A world class leader at CB (Koulibaly or Romagnoli) so Luiz and Cahill can go. Drinkwater, Baka, Barkley and Van Ginkel to be off loaded for CM. Bring in a number ten who can create and score (one of Fekir or Aouar. Give Hudson-Odoi his chance on the right and get rid of Willian and Pedro for Oulisic to come in. Morata, Batshuayi and Giroud should all be Permanently sold along with the likes of Moses and Kenedy. Then we need to target a striker who is up and coming preferably Jovic or Piatek.

Well problem is we may be having a transfer ban on the way so i wouldn't be suprised if the Summer window is all we have to really overhaul this squad. It's why i was disappointed with our lack of bussiness in the January window. I expected to struggle this season but i didn't expect these players to be unable to show any signs of progression with Sarri's system and it just shows too many here aren't good enough. I agree not having a DOF is not helping us at all, it's clear the board are good at the bussiness side, it's maybe why we're soo good at selling players, but from a footballing perspective they struggle. For me next season the only players i want to stay here are Kepa, Emerson, Rudiger, Christensen, Ampadu, Jorginho, Kante, RLC, CHO, Hazard and Higuain. Promote Reece James to RB and try and get Chilwell, Fekir, Pepe, Malcom, Jovic and Romagnoli. Obviously this isn't FIFA so i don't expect these to happen but an overhaul with this squad is a must.

WelshChels2, agree with all of that. Only issue is if the board can do all of that in one window (Personally i don't think they can) . Defensively is were we're at our weakest. Would love to see a Reece james, Christensen, Koulibaly or Romagnoli and Mendy defence. More pace, better offensive fullbacks, better players under pressure and a leader at the CB position.

chelsea nick i agree i think kovacic has been bang average he's not worth 20 million never mind what real will actually want for him he creates nothing he never scored wat does he actually do.
