I think everybody would agree that this squad could use the addition of a striker. In a hypothetical situation assuming our transfer ban is suspended, who would you sign as a striker who would be a realistic purchase and why (save the mbappe answers)?

Nobody knows what Chelsea is planning.

Either Icardi or Werner for me.

Looks like everyone is running away from Icardi.

If Conte and Inter want him out, and other teams are staying away, could be a relatively smooth process to get him. Think that, beside the baggage, he would be a massive addition to our squad.

But with the ban, we won't be able to pursue him. Think he'll stay in Italy regardless.

I’d take Dybala.

There’s no one around who stands out now Jovic is gone.

I like Tammy and Giroud as our options for bigger hold up strikers. Be nice to have a more mobile striker as another option for them. I actually wouldn't mind Richarlison, can play out wide too when needed. Would be much more useful in the squad than one of Pedro or Willian.

If it doesn't get lifted I'm less concerned about Giroud, Abraham and Batshuyai than I am about other squad positions.

I'd agree blueben . No one stands out at this time, interms of a striker that we need.

We should not invest now (if ban is frozen) but wait till summer of next season.

Giroud Tammy MB are capable and will help to lead our line this season .

Which is why I think a transfer ban is probably a blessing in disguise

Ktbffh.

Anyone think we should revisit Daniel Sturridge?

I think with cho and pulisic on wings I would go back to morata or bat's.
