Thank God that N'Golo is back cos we are so weak in defensive midfield without him. Kovacic and Jorginho just don't work as a 2 - and I'm sorry but I've now seen Jorginho allowed more freedom and I just don't get it - Jorginho to me is not good enough to be in the starting 11 - we should have sold him to Juve. Mason Mount, on the other hand, is going to be a 20 goal a season midfield star.

Weakness in defensive midfield is the exact reason why I think Bakayoko shouldn't be shipped out in a hurry.
But Jorginho should be in the squad all day long.

I’m a big fan of Jorginho. We watch games and we all see various players and performances differently. That’s one of the things that makes football such a wonderful game.

Tammy should have scored at least three today and Barkley missed an easy one on one. Also IMO Kovacic dived to get our first penalty.

I’m still confident we will win the Premiership easily and I can’t wait for next weekends game!

TYomB, but their 2nd goal was down to Jorginho - it wasn't so much that he lost the ball in the opposing half but he is so slow in getting back that it throws our defense into a tizzy. I have been far more impressed by Kovacic in the pre-seasons.

Jorginho has improved but he’s still a massive defensive liability. Need Kante back there because without him Jorg will struggle.

IMO there is little value on judging a player on the odd mistake.

In general terms Jorginho with the exception of a few mid-season games had a superb first season.

He is slow, in fact he may be even slower than Cesc and that’s saying something but I do think Lamps will pick him for the majority of games!
