Good evening all.

Just interested as to what everyone's thoughts are on the Mount/ Grealish debate? It seems to me that it's becoming increasingly fashionable to target a promising, hard working young man by labelling him a "teachers pet". It's not as if the lad has no end product, is it? The two were fairly comparable in terms of end product last season and, in my opinion, flair isn't always better than grit and determination. It's not as if Grealish is Hazard and can get away with a lower work rate.

Who would you rather have playing in blue?

Mount but I do rate Grealish.

2.) 12 Oct 2020 20:50:59
Just riles me that young'uns are drink driving, having orgies and flouting rules and we have a go at the media telling them to leave the lads alone, but, in the same breath we allow journalists to take pot shots at a boy who works hard and seems to be the consummate professional.

Don't get me wrong, I like Jack, but Mason just gets the job done.

3.) 12 Oct 2020 23:33:43
I disagree
Reason
Flair is 100% being Coached out of the game going backwards is seen as better than taking a risk and beating a man
Grealish is a very good skill full player and imo a more skillful natural player than Mount
Its like comparing gazzza with platt
Both good players but 1 is definetly more skillful than the other.

4.) 13 Oct 2020 07:34:38
Mason Mount all the way.
He is another Lampard in the making. Just give him time to prove the haters wrong.

5.) 13 Oct 2020 08:46:46
Grealish is more skilful but I’ll take Mount’s grit and hard work over him. Plus Mount moves the ball forward fast and scores goals too, people making out like he offers nothing but work rate. On top of that he seems like a really decent person whilst Grealish is a child who’s been blessed with natural skill.

6.) 13 Oct 2020 09:00:37
I like Mount way more, but he's a midfielder. His coaches playing him on the wings isn't doing him any favors. Grealish is a better player for an attacking position in a 343 for example.

I think fans' frustration is mainly due to the use of Mount, rather than the player himself.

7.) 13 Oct 2020 10:18:03
The same player that everyone moans about and calls Lampard child. Maybe Lampard was always right to keep putting him in. Yes the boy can't play great every game . remember he is human too.
He is a Chelsea boy though n though and gives 100% every game, what more can we ask for.

8.) 13 Oct 2020 14:44:45
This is similar to the Frank Lampard and Stephen Gerard comparison but I think Mason Mount is still discovering himself as a midfielder; and Grealish has to play for a top club.

9.) 13 Oct 2020 18:28:15
Sorry I didn't read last sentence I thought you were talking about england
But Chelsea Id rather Mount as we have more skillful players.

Good evening all! What a bad evening 😢

Ahh well, hopefully this proves the need for an overhaul of the defence rather than any other position. Attacking positions, obviously, add the glamour (and were a requirement in some respects, although I feel we have addressed these issues with confirmed signings) , now we definitely need to add the grit. Mourinho did it as a first step,

Every Striker and his dog has been linked with a Chelsea transfer at some point in their career, however, one name i have never heard linked with us is Wissam Ben Yedder which I find surprising for one so prolific.

Anyone fancy a punt?

In an ideal world, who would y'all want to lead the line?

I'll have a pint thanks very much cesar.

With the amount of cash we have spent in paying off managers that we've sacked and buying out new managers from their current contracts, we would have been halfway to the squad overhaul that everybody know we need.

Is it just player transfers that get scrutinised by FFP or do all transactions get looked at?

Good point. We could have bought the very best with the amount we paid Jose twice. Its a joke when you hear pundits say, "Sarri will get the sack because its chelsea who we are talking about, a team who got no patience". Its a stigma that will forever remain attached.

2.) 13 Feb 2019 14:26:34
We brought that stigma upon ourselves. I don't blame pundits for assuming we'll sack our manager, it's very much looks like our normal cycle. Let's just hope that it isn't.

3.) 13 Feb 2019 17:41:53
Agreed Matt. Its a disgusting Stigma.

4.) 13 Feb 2019 17:49:42
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you in Roman we trust.

5.) 13 Feb 2019 17:49:08
And look how much we’ve won.

6.) 13 Feb 2019 20:15:42
Yep, we have won a lot but I’m not sure it’s ALWAYS been down to changing managers.

It’s Romans car so I guess he can decide who the driver is!

7.) 13 Feb 2019 23:38:46
We have spent more or drinkwater and jorginho than on managers and we are half way to building a new squad lol dream on.

8.) 14 Feb 2019 19:51:28
And how have Jorginho and drinkwater fared so far?
