Hi Ed, has Lampard now signed a deal with New York City FC?

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Not yet.}

1.) 02 Jun 2014 19:40:07
Ok cheers, is it just a matter of time or is he still considering other clubs offers?

{Ed002's Note - I would think by now he has considered the options he has had.}

Ed I noticed on the Arsenal page that Omeruo may stay at the club next year if we cannot get our desired centre back (Varane). Is Omeruo seen as a more likely first team player than Zouma at the current time?

Sorry if it seems quite an open question as I know you say that players futures are not decided until they return to the club and are monitored, but thanks if you can give some sort of indication and no worries if not.

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - No, but I rather think Zouma will go on loan. Omeruo needs to come down to earth a little, but I expect him to go on loan.}

1.) When you say that Omeruo needs to come down to earth, is that in regards to his outspoken agent? Or something else?

{Ed002's Note - Him and his agent have far too much to say.}

2.) OK thanks, I might read up about that a bit.

Hi Ed, I know a lot of names are banded about during the transfer window so I've avoided asking a question for awhile, but I was reading through the strikers you mentioned we were interested in and noticed that Jackson Martinez seems to have gone off the radar. I remember you saying before that there was a significant figure at Chelsea that remained unconvinced but that others within the club were interested in buying him. Is it still the case that there is interest in the player or are we now solely looking elsewhere?

Sorry for such a lengthily worded question as I know you are busy but thanks for any input you can provide.

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Right now interest has moved on.}

1.) 27 May 2014 16:57:47
OK thanks Ed.

Hi Ed, I just noticed your post about players probably/possibly leaving, and saw that Lampard wasn't on there. Was he just someone you forgot to put on the list, or is it likely that he will be signing a new contract?

Thanks

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Lampard will be considering options - including a new one year deal.}

1.) Ok thanks Ed, does a new contract look likely?

{Ed002's Note - RTFP.}

2.) OK thanks

Hi Ed, I know that just about everyone is apparently joining every club at this time of year, but do the reports that we are interested in Stones contain any truth?

Thanks a lotont

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware but the club do need to boost their home grown contingent.}

1.) Ok thanks. In regards to the homegrown factor, will that come into play in our decision as to whether we keep Bertrand?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

2.) Shaw, Barkley and Stones. Done

Hi Ed, not sure if you're still answering questions at the moment but if you are, do Borussia Dortmund still maintain an interest in Lukaku and if so, is there a possibility of a swap deal involving Aubameyang or would Dortmund (or Chelsea) rather the two deals remain separate?

Thanks if you can help

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Give it a day or two.}

1.) Interesting ed does that mean somethings in place for the two of them or am I reading to much in to that thanks for the input though eds

2.) 07 Jul 2014 20:01:28
Ok, fair enough. I can understand why you might want to take a break with the way some people have been acting. I'll ask again in a few days.

3.) 08 Jul 2014 08:07:39
nibblyblue, I may be wrong, but I read it as the Ed not wishing to answer right now and that we should give him a few days.

4.) 08 Jul 2014 08:46:11
It means, there might be more information concerning your statement in days to come, not certain but there might be light at the end of the tunnel.

5.) 08 Jul 2014 17:50:00
I hope so ;)

Hi Ed, I know that agents will obviously lie when required so as to secure the best deals for their clients, but the agent of Sefa Isci has said that we and Benfica are interested in him.

Do you know if there is any truth to this?

Thanks

Ed, you mentioned that we were quoted a price for Fabregas when enquiring with Barcelona about another player. May I ask who that player is?

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Done to death - people should read the posts.}

1.) 04 Jun 2014 19:20:26
Its Oscar. You're welcome. :)

2.) 04 Jun 2014 19:27:09
Thanks ELI. And sorry Ed for the annoyance, I had checked through previous posts beforehand but didn't realise you were talking about a player we were considering selling rather than buying. Again, sorry for the question.

Hi Ed, do you know what's going on with Jose not travelling with the squad for tomorrows game?

Thanks

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed018's Note - I really don't know what you are talking about}

1.) He's ill.

Hi Ed, I was just wondering with all this stuff about David Luiz playing right back, do the journalists actually have any real tip-off as to why this might happen or are they just speculating?

Thanks for any help you can give

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - It is speculation based on a training session last week.}

1.) Oh ok thanks, that makes more sense.

Are Barca unable to buy Koke as they can't afford him, or are Atletico simply not willing to sell?

Dimitri Yakeznov

{Ed002's Note - Try the Barcelona page.}

Obviously it would be hard to tell quite how he'd do without trying it, but personally I don't think it would work particularly well. There is the argument that no-one would have thought Dave would do so well at left back as he has, but in the end, although you have to deal with playing with your stronger foot on the inside rather than out, the basic skill-set required for being a left back or right back is the same. In Matic's position on the other hand, as well as being solid defensively, you need to be competent on the ball. While not many would have predicted Lahm going into midfield, it was always clear that he had very good technical skills and I don't think Azpi is anywhere near as good in that sense. I think there would be worse decisions that could be made, and who knows, Jose could start doing this and I'd be proven (happily) wrong, but I feel in the end that if we moved Azpi into midfield, not only would we risk his defending perhaps being weakened for a while due to the need to adapt, but also I doubt he would be much better in an offensive sense than Mikel. I also feel that it would be massively unfair on players like Ake if Dave was to be selected ahead of him, as he has been proven competent whenever he has been called into play and is deserving of a chance if injuries and suspensions begin to pile up
