Contes comments suggested that its entirely possible that Chelsea do not sign anymore players before the end of window. This is despite reports that we were looking to sign 2-3 more.

Would this indicate to you, that we have adapted a 'Drinkwater, Barkley and Ox or bust' attitude to the rest of the window? Well try to get them, but too bad if we don't?

Im in the Oxlade Chamberlain corner and really think Conte could do wonders with him. IM hoping that spanking by Liverpool can get things moving a bit.

I wonder what encouragement the club is receiving in the chase for Alex Sandro. If he wasn't for sale and he didn't want the move this would have ended ages ago. This isn't necessarily a question to the eds, but do you think its a case of Sandro wants the move but doesn't want to forego any bonuses by handing in a transfer request?
Or is it Juventus giving us the encouragement but trying to drive the price through the roof?

I thought there might be something in this as well, thought maybe some encouragement from Sandro's agent or such to keep pursuing him. It wouldn't suprise me if he didn't want to hand in a transfer request and ruin his relationship with the club and fans like it has with other players. No doubt if he were it'd force Juves hand to negotiate. But Ed's said a while ago Juve were just messing Chelsea around upping the price as they don't want to sell. Can't see them selling unless Sandro does hand in a request or they get a good replacement in. But you never know 🤞.

Strangely I can no longer find odds for Sandro transfer. Is this because he is so definitely staying at Juventus that bookies no longer taking bets? If something else still possible here you would expect odd to be available, unless a transfer already nailed on that bookies know about (unlikley? ) .

3.) 15 Aug 2017 12:34:49
Imagine it's from his agent, juve seem pretty hard to deal with.

4.) 15 Aug 2017 13:20:49
Juve are always hard to deal with as they don't want to be a selling club. Looks like the only way Juve will sell is if they don't want the player anymore or if the player wants out. It's why it wouldn't suprise me if Sandro wants the move since we're still persuing him.

5.) 15 Aug 2017 14:20:33
Juventus won't be wrong holding back the player (for their own good) . Coupled with the fact that they sold Bonucci, Roma put 3 goals over their defence (in their Supercoppa game) . I really don't see them selling, they would really need the player. Juventus usually replaces a player before selling, so far i haven't seen any replacement.

Pls Chelsea, move on from Sandro. He is a good player- YES, but. It's funny cos our pysch is completely messed up on this deal. I see Chelsea paying over the odds for this deal to happen.

Recent history shows most players that we have chased this long don't end up at Chelsea eg. Cavani, Falcao, Pogba etc
There are other good wingbacks in Europe. THE EARLIER WE MOVED ON OR OVER PAID, THE BETTER FOR US.

The links with us and Gareth Bale are rubbish right? Nothing to get excited about? (or worked up about, if you don't wanna sign him)

Wouldn't suprise me if there's interest but i simply can't ever see it happening. If he was to leave Madrid it'd be for united or no one imo. I'd obviously like to see him at Chelsea despite his injury problems but don't think he's a big priority for the board to target. But you never know in this market anymore.

Whats the go with the Sanches deal? Bayern were actively shopping him for loan deals, we understand Conte asked Uncle Carlo about him, and it was looking like either us or AC Milan and then BANG Carlo says he's staying until the end of the window.
Have they just flat out changed their mind about loaning him out?
Maybe no one was prepared to do a loan without an option to buy and Bayerns decided no loan at all then?

James Rodriguez injured and Thiago, leaves them short so doubtful now, although Bayern fans did get on his back for performance v Liverpool, apparently he was terrible.

Holy crap. ed002 has written on City's page that if they can't get Sanchez they're going after Aubameyang. If they get either of those two their attack is going to be frightening though they still can't defend.

Honestly, I feel like getting either one of them is just overkill. I feel like City are buying just for the sake of buying, I mean they've brought in 3 fullbacks this window alone, I reckon they'll end up with a lot of dissatisfied players if they keep this up.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 12:21:24
They've signed 3 full backs to replace all 4 that left. Kolarov, Clichy, Sagna and twice voted best RB at PL (Zabaleta) .

That's what many of us have been saying all along about some dangerous change in our ambition and growth as a club. We're gradually slipping into wenger's policy of persimony. Excuses now are like "not being held to ransom ", not buying for the sake of it" etc.

Then we fans now corroborate by giving excuses of signing "covers and depths" instead of upgrades. Some licensed coaches among us even tell us how Caesar can play in all positions including deputizing Courtois, etc. Some accountants and investment analyst tell their own concepts.

We no longer get the hottest talents because like Wenger they are too expensive and they end up at real, Barca, United, etc yet we aim to get to their level like immediately.

IMO I'm yet see any upgrades in our transfers so far this season. This will only put more pressure on the coach and subsequent sack because other rivals have strengthened. This I think is one of reasons we can't bring through youths because of no coaching stability.

We have better chances with the world class players than with what we have got now with all due respect. Brand me negative but I'm not impressed by our transfers for a team that want to dominate not just EPL but Europe. Compare singnings of PSG, City, etc with ours (ambition) .

4.) 31 Aug 2017 15:25:19
Their team's already frightening enough. add one of the guys in and they'll have the best attacking force in the world.

Does Chelsea have a spare, 650 million pounds? I think that's his new buyout clause.

I wonder if Contes going to be forced to convert one of Pedro or Willian into a wb seeing as we haven't managed to sign a single one whilst so many have switched clubs this window. I guess that's the only way I see us going in for Mahrez.

Damn it two weeks ago I was in the No Ross Barkley corner now I just hope anyone signs. Even Barkley.

PS: In my comment above its suppose to stay I don't think Coutinho is going.

Morata9

{Ed001's Note - Klopp is trying to replace him with Lemar, he wants rid now after initially intending to keep him. It will be Klopp's decision though as the club are 100% backing him and taking their lead from him.}

I wonder if this is true and if eds have any insight on this?
Hes not going to play much CM at Liverpool is he? I think Coutinho is going so I don't see where he fits in the midfield there?
He certainly will not play CM here. Is this news true eds or is there a chance that report is bs? Its being reported by a few credible sources.

Morata9

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I have just woken up. Only thing I know is that he has made it very clear from the start that he wanted to sign for Liverpool, so it could just be people assuming based on that. It could just as easily be true as well, but no one in the UK that would know is awake to ask right now!}
