Ed002, have Chelsea agreed a price with Benfica for the transfer of Enzo Fernandez?

RJ28P

{Ed002's Note - Why are you asking this after your posts from yesterday? You are deliberately trolling the site - we don't need that and people like you are why so little is shared on this page.}.

1.) 30 Dec 2022 08:38:00
Ed002, genuinely, I am not trolling the site. I didn't think we stood a chance with EF due to the clause being so high and other clubs being interested, but clearly I was wrong.

{Ed002's Note - You spent yesterday trolling the site - it is the same as all of the vegetables just trashing players.}

2.) 30 Dec 2022 10:37:53
RJ28P is a so called 'journalist' on twitter. Its sad seeing that he takes the great info from Ed and acts like it's his own.

3.) 30 Dec 2022 11:27:40
Blimey Shak, do you work for MI5?

4.) 30 Dec 2022 11:29:34
Every transfer window it's the same. Please take a break or just stop asking the same questions.

5.) 30 Dec 2022 11:43:30
Nathswindon in sure is the same for every window.

6.) 30 Dec 2022 19:45:31
This is transfer window season. Most of what is reported is rubbish- try to ignore it and see what transpires on 1st February.

7.) 31 Dec 2022 10:35:00
Lol Tom, I do work in 'investigations' so your not far off haha.

27 Dec 2022 18:35:21
Ed002, I take it the story about us triggering Enzo Fernandez's release clause is total nonsense?

RJ28P

{Ed002's Note - OK.}

1.) 27 Dec 2022 19:43:48
Sorry Ed002, I just thought the League would have to announce when it is triggered, like in Spain?

{Ed002's Note - OK.}

2.) 28 Dec 2022 06:23:02
Ed's replies made me laugh, lol. I love his dry sense of humor!

3.) 28 Dec 2022 08:51:09
lol.
So, Are Chelsea interested in signing Enzo Fernandez?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, as I have previously explained he is an option.}

4.) 28 Dec 2022 11:30:02
Ed002 saw on Liverpool page you said that another club were in discussions with benfica for Enzo, is that Chelsea? really sounding like we could get him and exciting

Also with James injuries could we go for juranovic with celtic buying a rb and more willing to sell? thanks alot.

{Ed002's Note - Yes Chelsea are talking with Benfica.

Josip Juranovic (RB) Atletico Madrid offer the player first team football whilst Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Spurs can only offer him a role as cover but that may change at Spurs. Celtic have agreed a replacement.}

5.) 28 Dec 2022 15:44:07
Ed002, are both Jorginho and N'Golo Kante now set to leave the club?

{Ed002's Note - Possibly.}

6.) 29 Dec 2022 14:13:14
Kante should not be sold at this time but a back up will help.

22 Dec 2022 00:02:30
Ed002, if Chelsea did sign Vitor Roqué, would he qualify for a work permit?

RJ28P

{Ed002's Note - He cannot move before the summer and a WP is not an issue.}

1.) 22 Dec 2022 12:23:12
Presumably if CFC signed him now, they would loan him straight back?

{Ed002's Note - He cannot sign in January.}

29 Nov 2022 22:45:13
Ed002, presumably the Andrey Santos reports in the last 24 hours about Chelsea signing him from Vasco for €15m is utter nonsense?

RJ28P

{Ed002's Note - Audrey Santos (CM/DM) is of interest to Newcastle United and Braga. He is also one of the players on the Vision 2030 list for Chelsea but an immediate Work Permit for England is borderline at best right now - which would need a creative solution.}

02 Sep 2022 10:28:47
Ed002, thanks for all your amazing help in the last window and also the takeover saga - I know I myself and others at times were an utter pain in the *** so I appreciate the patience massively.
Out of interest, besides Alvarez, Ronnie Edwards and Arsen Zakharyan, did CFC try and complete any other deals yesterday that didn't happen? If so, who for?

RJ28P

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea already knew that they were blocked from signing Zakharyan before yesterday.}

1.) 02 Sep 2022 15:20:18
Did we try for Ronnie Edwards ed002? :)

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

2.) 02 Sep 2022 18:04:47
Do you think we will try for Alvarez again Ed002, or try and agree a deal for January?

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know.}

3.) 02 Sep 2022 21:18:16
Ed do you think CFC will try again for Zakharyan? He looks to be quite a star in the making. so I hope so.

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

City away again. The FA got bored of us consistently getting to the Final. Feels like a huge fix - especially as that is the 'big tie' of the round.

RJ28P

22 Nov 2022 18:50:08
Hopefully 0 chance of Ronaldo. Would be a disgraceful signing. Past it, an ego that wouldn't fit in Fulham Broadway station and eyewatering wages.

RJ28P

1.) 22 Nov 2022 19:34:44
I’d take him till summer.

2.) 24 Nov 2022 11:16:13
Would take him till Summer for sure.

3.) 25 Nov 2022 05:34:44
No, I'm sorry, we don"t need that ego in our team. There is a reason Sir Alex let him leave United in his prime for RM, and then Man Utd bought back into it again after Juve, got 1 year, and then issues!
Football has, and will always be a team game, outstanding individuals enhance a team at certain points in their careers, knowing when to "cut them loose" (and make a profit Sir Alex) is tantamount.
I'd be happy if we could get Leao from Milan to accompany Nkuku up front as a pair for Chelsea, goals for fun!
Lets see how things transpire!

4.) 25 Nov 2022 11:57:13
Don't underestimate Fulham.

5.) 25 Nov 2022 22:25:04
No Antibot Fulham had George Best, Rodney Marsh and Bobby Moore all in the same team in the 70s.

01 Sep 2022 17:30:47
No midfielder in whilst selling Gilmour and loaning Ampadu is appalling.
Will be a battle to get 6th, Jorginho is just not up to it without Kanté covering him.

RJ28P

1.) 01 Sep 2022 17:54:00
This window will be a 3/ 10 and £270m bust is we fail spectacularly to bring in a DM / CM

Individually we have bought well but as a team We’re missing the most vital part to our team which will be what’s going to cost us and has cost us in our two losses so far.

2.) 01 Sep 2022 18:15:48
£9mill is a complete steal if it is true for gilmour in this day and age

If we do not get another midfielder in this will be a very poor window as we are desperate for another DM and a creative player (fabregas mould )

I understand we signed 2 new youngsters for midfield and maybe they get their chances but to pay 20 mill for player with about 20 less premier appearances is mad.

{Ed002's Note - Bakayoko the . Lots of PL experience.}

3.) 01 Sep 2022 18:21:56
I actually liked Bakyoko,

4.) 01 Sep 2022 19:00:14
CDM. Who is this Denis Zaharia loan we have apparently agreed?

{Ed002's Note - Denis Zakaria (DM/CM) Juventus have used him sparingly since he moved in January due to nigling injuries and all parties would be happy to move on after only joining in January for a low fee. Juventus now have their DM target in Paredes joing at some point this summer. Juventus are happy to sell and Spurs enquired about his availability but opted for Bissouma. An enquiry from Newcastle as a Hayden replacement was met with the standard response of "not interested" as sthey struggle to sell their project. Recommended to Chelsea by an ex-player who is doing scouting but their are perhaps three ahead of him on the list. In the final days of the transfer window his name was raised again during discussions over another player. A loan has now been agreed. He is very much a solid DM player.

5.) 01 Sep 2022 20:08:13
Were the 3 Tchouameni, Alvarez and Sangaré Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

6.) 01 Sep 2022 21:32:19
Thanks Ed002 for the earlier response on DZ.

7.) 02 Sep 2022 00:05:29
Who cares we have a dm.

28 Aug 2022 12:27:52
Just for fun, who does anyone think will come in before the deadline? I'll go for Fofana, a winger - but not Gordon - and Aubameyang. Maybe Zakharyan but staying on loan for the season.
Would love the winger to be Leão, but think we have no chance.

RJ28P

1.) 28 Aug 2022 15:57:49
Fofana is a done deal, Zakharyan on his way. Not sure about PEA but I think it will eventually get done.

I feel we are going to see a surprise on the deadline day for Chelsea. A blockbuster deal being worked on that nobody knows?

2.) 28 Aug 2022 16:25:29
Haaland from city on a 1 year loan obligation to buy.

3.) 28 Aug 2022 17:27:37
Assuming Fofana is a done deal, I think it’s too late to bring in any top class players; rather stick than make desperate bids for players who would not make a difference.

4.) 28 Aug 2022 17:31:42
Never to late to bring in top class players but who are they and are they available?

In my opinion we have done well in this window but always room for more quality.

5.) 28 Aug 2022 18:33:25
Early days yet but, Kane, Haaland Jesus scoring goal and Nunez probably will if he stops head butting people. I am worried about where our goals are going to come from.

6.) 28 Aug 2022 19:09:46
Tom, we have done well in the window; let’s not spoil it.

7.) 28 Aug 2022 20:22:50
Me too Jimbo. We need a prolific goal scorer and it really is hard to find one at the moment, especially one that will work in the PL.

Isak going to Newcastle is an interesting player to follow as well.

8.) 28 Aug 2022 21:49:19
Ashk yes Isak will be one to watch; not a bad price for a young striker either.

9.) 28 Aug 2022 22:04:36
Jimbo, if the club/ manager think a player is of the right quality let’s just just give him a chance to prove himself.

I’m not a fan of us signing “PEA” or “Gordon” but I’m happy that one is a short term fix and the other is seen as a player who will improve our squad.

Every signing has no guarantees as we have seen with some of our recent efforts in the transfer market. Let’s just wait and see!

I well remember how underwhelmed I was when signed Dave and Iva.

10.) 29 Aug 2022 11:37:44
Tom, I can understand the logic regarding PEA but it must be on our terms, the fee Barcelona are asking for is a rip off and his wages and length of contract should reflect his age. As for Gordon he may be a player with potential but he has played 60 odd PL games and scored 5 goals. Even with CHO going out on loan we don’t need another wide player who isn’t going to improve our squad. The money should be spent on a midfielder. I applaud the club’s twin-track approach of signing young players with potential. We paid 20M for Chukwuemeka that is the ceiling that we should be paying for young players with potential. If you fork out 60M for a player, they should be nailed-on starters.
As for Dave and Iva they were established players at their respective clubs and the transfer fees were reasonable.
I see that Fofana is flying to the USA for his medical, obviously not taking any chances: makes sense.
Kounde played for Barcelona last night. How do they get away with it?

11.) 29 Aug 2022 12:22:58
Jimbo,

Why are you concerned about clubs like Barcelona. I haven’t seen any comments about them breaking any rules. If it’s about them signing players we were interested in, it happens, we’ve done it to other clubs and even sing a song about it.

I didn’t say Iva or Dave hadn’t had successful careers at there there clubs prior to joining Chelsea. I just said and I think this probably applies to the majority of Chelsea fans, when they signed it was underwhelming.

It doesn’t look like we will now sign Gordon but if we do it will be TB supporting a TT choice and I have no problem with that.

I keep saying none of us can be certain any player will be a success at our club but let’s just give them a chance.

I except you are entitled to be critical of TT and any player and you are generally constructive in your criticism. Unlike two posters who just blurted out posts demanding TT be sacked immediately without giving any adequate reason.

Until recently I thought I had always given reasons for any criticism I make about a player or the manager but apparently not. Maybe constructive criticism doesn’t come over well in this sort of forum!

12.) 29 Aug 2022 17:44:29
Tom, it has nothing to do with Kounde, I just think they are shady and I don’t like them just like some other clubs. I don’t like Klopp and his teeth or Arteta who likes like a puppet from Thunderbirds -I’m not suggesting it’s rational, some people just get on my nerves.

13.) 29 Aug 2022 18:28:31
We all have our likes and dislikes that’s for sure and we all have biased opinions.

14.) 30 Aug 2022 10:41:58
That made me laugh jimbo as I feel same about klopp and arteta.

27 Aug 2022 23:02:51
How good was it to see someone actually put away a Reece James cross through the box with a tap in?
Sterling will get plenty this year with supply like that.

RJ28P

1.) 27 Aug 2022 23:55:53
He’s world class is Reece. Him and Silva head and shoulders above other players here.

2.) 28 Aug 2022 06:19:23
RJ, fantastic cross presenting Sterling with a tap in. Very City like.

3.) 28 Aug 2022 11:13:43
Quite agree RJ28P far too many such crosses in recent times have been begging for a tap in by a striker nowhere to be seen. Lukaku just not mobile enough?

ilo, we know you don't like Graham Potter. Not every post needs to start with this.
And Roman's model as per say is why we continuously have made poor reactionary signings at huge fees in the last 5 years. A change in direction was needed as the sport has changed a lot from 2004.

Or it could just be a case said players have been coasting all season to stay fit and then star for their countries at the World Cup.
Ziyech ran more for Morocco the other day than he ever has in a Chelsea shirt!
People need to take off the rose-tinted glasses on Tuchel- for 9 months the football was generally absymal. He alienated so many players like Trev Chalobah for no reason. His transfer strategy is also extremely questionable - not one of his signings so far has been a bona-fida success, with jury still out on Fofana. He also clearly can't work in a more hierarchical structure because that was why he fell out with the owners at Dortmund and PSG.
As for Potter, time will tell. However, I'd use Brighton as the case study. He inherited an old tired squad. He lost quite a few early games. He was given the chance to rebuild it, with young hungry players, quality across the pitch and geared towards an expansive and attractive playing style.
Several years later, and they are scalping teams like us, Liverpool and Man United. We need to give a manager resources, backing and most importantly time. Pep had a terrible first year - City kept faith. Klopp had an awful first season - Liverpool kept faith. Arteta had a dreadful 18 months - Arsenal kept faith. All of them are now either reaping (or have reaped) the rewards for doing so.
Going back to the original point, I think we'll have at least 2 players in the semi finals.
