Fernando Torres is discussing personal terms with AC Milan after Chelsea agreed to let the striker leave for Italy. Chelsea are happy for Torres to move either on loan or on a permanent deal and, according to ssn, Roma's Matteo Destro is being viewed as a possible replacement if the move goes through.

Nearly time to celebrate!

Woody89

1.) I think all Chelsea fans can be proud with the way we handled a difficult situation like Torres' with the endless support and all. So now he's about to go let's not ruin it . Good luck Nando maybe in another life it could have been different but here you were total butt. Goodluck though.

2.) Apparently Destro not for sale. acc. to Roma president. Hope not true. We must have a third striker option.

3.) They be putting price up now they no Torres is willing to go

4.) We can always go for remy which I don't think will do worse than demba did, or try and get bony!

5.) Sure, go and celebrate. Chelsea board and plastic fans will bite their balls after he scores 20+ at AC MILAN.

6.) Actually Chn, he scored 22 for us. 2 seasons ago, but I'm entirely confident that the majority of us still agree that his time has come. I've nothing personally against the bloke, I'm sure most of us don't, he just really is t a good fit for one reason or another.
I actually hope he does well.

As for the board "biting their balls", why? I'm pretty sure the board know what they're doing when selling players (and buying), so I'm sure if we can see it's never going to click for Torres here, then they certainly can. Plus, I swear that you said yourself how much easier the league is, so really, what's your point?

7.) You don't have a feeling that Chelsea behaves as club which is short of money? Torres is still considered as top striker. We.already made big mistake after selling Sturridge. Even selling Lukaku could easily show as another mistake.

Is there any truth in the Schurrle to Atletico rumours?

Woody89

{Ed018's Note - I would find it shocking if Chelsea were willing to let him go}

1.) I really hope he stays. I can't see Mourinho selling him, he's one of a kind in terms of what he brings to the club. Running off the front man etc. we have wingers, but he's different and I think he'll be a real asset this season with double figures in terms of goals and assists. This will be his breakthrough year in my opinion.

2.) I sure it's complete rubbish. Why would Chelsea sell Schurrle one of the most promising player. Personally I rate him above Hazard and Willian.

3.) 14 Aug 2014 14:54:47
Above hazard is a bit extreme but he is an excellent player! He's not a 20 goal a season player but he brings somthing entirely different that out other options. My only fear is he will be labeled a super sub

4.) We would be insane to sell him

Good to see Bamford scoring regularly for Middlesbrough at the moment. My guess would be a premier league loan next season, see how he progresses and then being involved in a first team role in the 2016/17 season.

Aguero out 4/6 weeks apparently. Don't wish injury on anyone but with so many matches in December/Christmas period it certainly won't help Man City!

Woody89

1.) I hope they do drop points between now and the game against us. If not then I hope Aguero's not fit to play against us.

Can someone please explain to me what is wrong with getting the ball wide and crossing the ball from the byline? Every single match we play in front of the opposition which makes it easier as it is so predictable. Get Luis on at half time, make the most of the overlap he can provide and get the ball into the box!

Woody89

{Ed018's Note - I'm starting to think it wouldn't matter. Watch when it does go out wide there is usually only one player in the box waiting for a cross. Everyone just stands outside the eighteen}

1.) Crazy isn't it, Azpillicueta did a good move past Janmaat, then hesitated on his left then crossed it straight into Taylor, only costa was in the box.

Teams just need to sit inside the 18, don't follow the wingers, just simply sit inside the box and they'll be fine lol.

Luis on for Brana. Drogba on soon, or Remy

2.) Luis warming up!

3.) Of course I meant you should beat Newcastle, just realised my mistake, maybe that's why it ain't going so well for you today if your beating yourselves lol!

4.) We'll we didn't beat them :((((( don't even care, Nup I support Citeh ;)

This team just gets better and better, best complete performance of the season by far. Schalke have not lost at home since April and Chelsea have completely outplayed and outclassed them.

Woody89

1.) Holy hell that was some performance! Magnificent :) we had so many great chances (it could've easily been 0-8 or even more) and yet they didn't have a sniff at goal (except of course for the own goal haha)!
Fantastic and it should give the team even more confidence now they've completely dominated 2 games in a row. Let's keep the level of play up for Sunderland on the weekend.

2.) Ow yeah, Willian was like crazy good on the counter. That guy's got some insane speed

3.) 26 Nov 2014 09:10:18
All team looked briliantly today, I thought we going to smash them and never believed schalke going to be up for a fight

If Schurrle is the striker then bye bye unbeaten record.

Bamford needs to be playing week in week out to continue his development so using him as a third striker wasn't really a viable option.

Clear penalty when Ospina took out Oscar. I didn't think the other two were though. Fabregas exaggerated way too much making it look like a dive even though it wasn't and the first shout on Oscar is sometimes given, sometimes not, very minimal contact. Cahill was a yard away when the ball hit his hand so no intent there what so ever.

I would have agreed with you prior to yesterday's match in terms of not shooting enough but the performance against Stoke was a big improvement all round. 19 shots 10 on target and on another day could have scored 4 or 5. Apart from a moment of brilliance and N'zonzi hitting the post from 20+ yards Chelsea seemed untroubled.

In terms of options going forward I thought Willian had a good game. Yes his end product is not always there but he works tirelessly for the team and always tries to beat the fullback and get a cross in. I think the problem is playing Oscar. The guy is so much out of form that I wouldn't play him, although Mourinho seems to have his favourite players as him and Cahill seemed to start regardless of how poorly they are performing (may be just my feelings) I would play Willian behind the striker and give Cuadrado a run on the right wing as he can do no worse than Oscar.

Cahill shouldn't be in the team regardless of who the opposition play. Just waiting for him to get sent off now.

Does Zouma not impress Mourinho in training or something because it makes no sense what so ever starting Cahill ahead of him on current form.

We started the game well and got the goal we deserved but as soon as we gave the penalty away we were on the back foot the whole of the rest of the first half. A lot better second half and should have won, we were a bit unlucky. As for the starting line-up, I have no idea how Oscar is getting in there, he has been poor the majority of the season and literally adds nothing to the team in the past 2/3 months. Willian played in the number 10 role recently and I seem to remember he played well, so why not use him there and give Cuadrado a chance in the right wing position. Every time Zouma has played this season he has been fantastic, even when he is asked to play in a position he has probably never played in before he put in a very competent performance so how he is behind Cahill in the pecking order beggars belief. If we don't play players who naturally give us width then we need to play Felipe left back and move Dave to his normal positon.
