Are the rumours of Abramovich rejecting an approach to sell to Britains Richest man Jim Ratcliffe (Approx wealth £21bn) true?

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) 09 Jun 2018 13:00:46
Hey BlueisthecolourSW6,

It's unusual that the Newspaper have gone as far as naming names, however it's a newspaper (I use the term news lightly) and considering the newspaper in question I'm calling BS.

It's a story that will get people talking, particularly under the current Political Climate so it's good for business.

There are already Chelsea Fans getting excited about the prospect of an even wealthier person taking over the Club and some of these same people will be kicking off if and when Roman doesn't bankroll Us to the tune of hundreds of millions in the Summer Window. Citing Roman has lost His ambition, He's holding Us back etc etc, blah blah blah.

Anyway onwards and upwards as always.

KTBFFH!

2.) 09 Jun 2018 14:51:06
I don't like Chelsea to have a British or Indian owner, I would prefer another Russian or Arabian. I feel English and Indian business men hardly want to spend money - they think profit, profit, profit. That's just my personal take, I like Roman Abrahimovich.

3.) 09 Jun 2018 19:23:35
Personally, I feel Roman is the best owner in world football. He really gets what it means to be a fan, is what it feels like to me. Seeing how animated he gets watching us play is really special. Wouldn’t change him for any other owner, even if they were 200 times richer than Roman, it means nothing in times of FFP anyway. Don’t really care about nationalities of owners or whatever, Roman is ours, a true blue.

4.) 10 Jun 2018 09:08:54
Totally agree Rowey, Roman is a fantastic owner and has been brilliant for Chelsea. I just hope he doesn't stick 2 fingers up at the UK though over his visa treatment.

5.) 10 Jun 2018 11:11:49
I'd be disappointed to see Roman leave. The man bleeds Chelsea now, and I want him to be here for as long as possible. Just saw the rumour and wanted to share it. To top it all off, the reported interested party is a Manchester United fan with a Chelsea season ticket apparently because it's his nearest ground. Doesn't bode well I don't think, so even if it was ridiculous money being offered, I think Roman would reject because of the way he loves the club.

6.) 10 Jun 2018 13:36:35
Nothing is absolute cos you can't tell what Roman is thinking. My point is that- If Roman Abrahimovich decides to sell Chelsea (which is unlikely), I would like an owner that wants to invest in the club like Abrahimovich (like Roweycfc said, 'AN OWNER THAT IS A FAN') I made that statement about nationalities based on my experience working with people of certain nationalities and from what I see in football today as a whole.

7.) 10 Jun 2018 13:44:43
Yea richer doesn't necessarily translate to willingness to give or release money. So Roman is excellent.

According to BBC Radio Norfolk yesterday (6th May), strong rumours of James Maddison to Chelsea in exchange for Mason Mount (with a buy back clause) and £20m. Have you heard anything of this? And what do people think of this deal?

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) 08 May 2018 18:59:16
I bloody hope not! Mason Mount, out of all our loanees, is the one most likely to make it through.

2.) 09 May 2018 10:56:50
If there's a buyback clause, maybe it isn't too bad. I saw some James Maddison's clips. He looks a good player and a bit more experienced than Mason Mount.

3.) 09 May 2018 14:43:31
The rumour did say there would be a buy back clause inserted, but again, I'd prefer them to loan him for a season, or even two with a early break clause inserted for a fee. But I think going to the championship is a step up from Vitesse and Maddison has been quite the player this season, so I'd happily accept that deal!

01 Sep 2014 10:56:27
Expect a quiet deadline day from us. Van Ginkel will go on loan but that's all, our squad is complete. We don't need cover for him going on loan, we can dip into to the youth side if we really need to. Fantastic business done by us I think, and great to have the main bulk of it done so early.

Also, in my opinion, Falcao to United is an incredibly pointless transfer/loan. Seems to be a panic buy, because although they aren't scoring, he hasn't played well in the games he's played for Monaco. Also, United need strengthening else where first, yes they need to score goals, but I feel that against a top team, they will leak goals.

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) Well we'll see re Falcao. He did score 11 goals in 17 appearances for them, still a pretty good return! At Atletico was not far off a goal a game. A lot depends on how fit he is I guess, including how his knee injury stands up to rigours of PL. But if he is anywhere near fit and gets a decent supply of chance he will surely take a heck of a lot of them. The £12m one year loan deal is pretty massive (and wages on top?), but if this secures Manchester United a top four finish they'll think it money v.well spent.

Sad to see Kevin De Bruyne leave. He was unlucky at Chelsea, in the fact he had to fight for his place with some of the best young midfielders in the world. Still really rate the guy, hopefully he proves his worth at Wolfsburg.

Good luck Kevin.

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) Couldn't agree more. Don't think it will come back to bite us, as we have enough talent in that department. But I do think he will go on to be a top qaulity player in a couple of years. Good luck to him

2.) I agree, when you have a midfield that Juan Mata struggles to get into you know there's a lot of talent. He's a cracking player, shame we didn't get to see more of him, good luck Kev!

3.) To be honest I think Mourinho was a little unfair on him. I think he'll go on to be a great player, every time I see him for Belgium he is excellent. He started our first match against Hull and was given MOM. The next game he was dropped altogether! Imagine what that must do to your confidence. He hasn't performed that well when given chances since, however he should never have been dropped in the first place. It's right for the club though as it's pretty much funded the Matic deal and allowed us to strengthen where we really needed a player! I'm just gutted though as I think De Bruyne will go on to be a star!

4.) 18 Jan 2014 13:14:03
It was quite obvious that KDB is behind of all other 5 attacking players to feature more freequently. Not many attacking midfielders would break into our first team squad in the world, therefor it's fair to Kevin to find himself a team where he can be The Guy.

I'm pretty sure Mata will follow at some stage, perhaps summer. He's got his best years of a career right in front of him, but isn't better than any of the Hazard, Oscar and Willian to make it into the starting line-up. Willian could be for debate, but let's be frank - what Willian others on the wing in terms of pace, dribbling and defence - Mata is nowhere a match. Sadly for Mata - Oscar is a better all around footballer than he is and will only get better with time.

We have Piazon showing great promise in Holland, he'll probably be ready to feature for Chelsea in a year or two. He's a cracking player, so I wouldn't be surprised in Mata left and Piazon gotten promoted o the first team.

{Ed002's Note - You need to register.}

Every time I have watched a Wolfsburg game, the pundits say Chelsea are watching Ricardo Rodriguez. Is he actually of any interest to Chelsea?

blueisthecolourSW6

{Ed002's Note - I don't see Ricardo Rodriguez moving in January although both Milan and Napoli are interested. It is fair to say Chelsea and Manchester United took a look at the player but for now it has ended there.}

Hey Eds,

Realistically, how many more signings do you think we will make this window? And how many sales?

Thanks.

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) 20 Aug 2015 23:40:50
2 signings, + other youths

07 Sep 2014 09:16:00
This sounds stupid, and I know everything is speculation right now, and the window is far away, but reports from multiple papers are that United are only looking for £20m to move Mata on in January.

Would you take him back for £20m?

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) Nope I wouldn't. I wish him all the best in his career, and I'd be glad if he didn't play for United anymore. But he got sold for a reason. We don't need him.

2.) I agree with Jackson, furthermore I don't think he has been playing that well for United and with us buying Fábregas, I don't see why we would want him back.

3.) Yeah, totally agree to be honest. If he does leave, I can see them using him in a deal for Pogba/Vidal anyway.

4.) Have to agree with Jackson here as well, we can't deny that Mata was class while we had him but we let him go for good a good reason I wish him nothing but the best but I wouldn't want him back.

If the club in the next two windows go out and get Pogba and Varane and we keep hold of Oscar and Hazard we are going to have one hell of a team.

5.) 08 Sep 2014 16:44:52
I wouldn't mind Mata at all :) best player for 2 seasons in a row. But even if everybody wished he would comeback it will never happen as Mourihno don't like him

6.) Loved him, think his a special player but his attitude summed it up for me, few months out and ran for exit, no fight, azpilcueta was in same situation and won his place in the team, mata would have had huge season towards end with Oscar fading but he thought the grass was greener.

7.) 09 Sep 2014 16:07:01
Yeah, personally I lost a lot of respect form him when I saw how he handled the situation

8.) 10 Sep 2014 00:23:17
lads you need to keep in mind that then there was a year of world cup and how underperforming oscar was keeping him out of the squad and how mourihno was letting ramired play in top instead of mata. You can't say bad words about mata, mourihno didn't showed him love what else you expected of him? stay on the bench when you have done nothing wrong?

9.) I loved mata, but have lost most of my respect for him and frankly have little sympathy for his current situation
A few months out and he couldn't even stay to compete? And don't give me the world cup nonsense he was never getting ahead of silva/ fabregas and never will, even he wanted to leave he could have stayed till the summer and I am sure valencia, juve, atletico etc would have come for him. To run away at the first time of trouble that too to manu was pathetic. Even players like jt, brana and drogba have had to prove and earn their place in the team and that is why they are legends. Mata can now jump to whichever ship he deems best, wouldn't care less.

29 Aug 2014 20:45:54
As much as I find it acceptable that people are 'glad' Torres has left, I do find it disrespectful that people are celebrating his departure. I agree that he wasn't at his best when he became a Chelsea player, but he did give it his all, and we never had any controversy with him like Balotelli had at City and Tevez at City too.

For one, I thank him for his service and wish him the best of luck at Milan.

blueisthecolourSW6

1.) I agree with you, man. He never hit good form while at chelsea, but indeed he was very professional throughout his time at the club.
I wish him all the best at milan and I hope he rediscovers some good form.

2.) It's more relief than anything else. No ones mocking him or holding anything against him. Stuff happens he didn't work out, everyone is relieved we can finally move on and so can he.
Hope he rediscovers some form. Plus I remember when kalou, malouda left the club they got less sympathy. Torres can't complain we've been great with him, and everyone is relieved.

3.) 29 Aug 2014 22:13:15
He was poor at Liverpool 18 months before he moved to Chelsea. It was just a shocking piece of business instigated by Abramovich who was a massive fan of Torres. I am not really celebrating the fact he is leaving but at the same time he just isn't good enough for Chelsea and needed to be moved on.

4.) Chelsea as a club did do everything, but there have been countless fans that have slated throughout, and really that does no good. Torres was no less than a fantastic footballer, and you're right, since he had his knee operation at Liverpool he was half the player, so a poor piece of business. But risks are taken sometimes and he was always a large risk. I'll miss him, always has been a favourite of mine, but it's time to move on, as it was with Frank albeit in different circumstances.

I really hope to see the old Fernando back at AC Milan, in a less physical and slightly 'easier' league as they say.

5.) 30 Aug 2014 10:44:24
Probably you who said chelsea fas didn't love him haven't been in any match as shed end and mathew hardings always cheered for torres with songs and big love

6.) Of course I've been, but both times I went there were a number of fans that were very critical of him. I'm not saying all, but there were some. Also, I was not saying 'ALL' fans criticize him, I just said a lot of fans did, no specific areas mentioned either.

Nothing serious, but rumour has it multiple shirt number changes for this season.

With the loss of Frank Lampard,
Oscar is to take the number 8 shirt, with Willian taking over at number 11. Mo Salah will then take over the number 22 shirt, which is his favoured shirt number.

Is there any interest in Ricardo Rodriguez & Marcos Rojo, or are the club set on Filipe Luis?

The younger options seem to make more sense.

Sorry to bring it up again Ed002, it's been a long time since I interacted with you!

Dan Levene, a journalist for Fulham Chronicle reported that there were plans 'in place' to knock down the Bridge and totally rebuild with a 60000 super stadium.

Here is the article:

http://goo.gl/hCgVQG

Have you heard anything in the past week or so about this? Thank you very much for any reply I get.

{Ed002's Note - I explained what I knew last week.}

I am almost 100% sure the 'source' you are referring to is 'ChelseaSources' on Twitter, who has called deals correct in the past, that have been the deals that everyone has been expecting to happen, but doesn't get them right all the time at all, and is very unreliable.

DO NOT believe anything until you see it from a club, and in these cases, don't expect too much.

I don't think they have much say in whether the expansion goes ahead. They've always said they don't want the club to move from the site of Stamford Bridge, because if they did the club would have to operate under a different name unless they came to an agreement, which they tried and failed.

These plans look fantastic, and they are the only real way that the stadium can be expanded to the capacity that the club want. The idea of boarding over the tube tracks behind the MH stand are something which should have been done years ago, because that is a fantastic solution to the problem which fans face on a match day, with such a short walk from the tube station to the stadium, it just make sense.

If these are approved, I just wonder how long it would take to build, and how long before Chelsea would have to move from Stamford Bridge, because like West Ham are doing, I would love a 'Farewell Stamford Bridge' season (as we know it now).

For me, that was unexpected, but it will be great to see him perform in the Premier League, and hopefully give him a platform to break into the Chelsea team in coming years.
