You mentioned on a previous post that a few other players may be coming in. I thought we may bring in another striker if we finally manage to get rid of Torres. I guess if we get rid of Mikel then another midfielder would come in and I assume another GK if Cech goes.
Could you give us more of an insight into what players we are definitely interested in? I see from previous posts Carvalho, Varane and Destro are likely to be amongst that list.

{Ed018's Note - I expect Cech and hopefully Torres to be leaving. There could be a loan for Van Ginkel. The players you name are certainly of interest and there's not much else to add at this point}
1.) Is there still interest in pogba or cavani or have we moved on?
there is still interest in Cavani but I don't see a move for him happening unless Oscar were to move to PSG, which seems unlikely. I haven't heard anything about Pogba in some time now}
2.) Good, I hope Cech can find a new home, as it would be criminal to have him or Courtois sat on the bench all season. The less said about Torres the better
3.) I'd rather see Mikel move on than Van Ginkel but accept that Marco would benefit from playing.
4.) And Khedira is still also a possibility?
{Ed018's Note - last I was told was that a deal was very unlikely to happen involving Chelsea, not sure if that has changed }
5.) Ed018 do you happen to know which clubs if any have shown an interest in taking van ginkel on loan?

6.) Thanks ed018. I do hope he gets a loan to the premiership not only because it'll help him fit into the team when he returns but also because I will be able to see him play more often.

Hi Eds. Do you see us signing another player in this window? It's gone quiet since Jose said his business is finished.
However I still have a niggling feeling there's a surprise waiting to happen whether it be a Cavani, Khedira or Varane type signing.
Can you shed any light Eds? Is there any genuine interest in Torres? That will make a big difference to who we do or don't sign surely.
{Ed008's Note - Yes I think theirs a good chance of that providing Jose can loan the players out he doesn't need for this season like Romeu has joined Stuttgart a few of the youngsters will need to find clubs and theirs this rule for the Champions League needing to Omit 1 foreign player from their likely squad that needs to be taken into account.
I don't think Khedira/Varane will happen this transfer window neither Cavani aswell although those rumours will not go away.. Theirs some interest in Torres I think Atletico is one, Wolfsburg is the most recently linked but I'm not convinced I don't think Torres will leave till next summer IMO.

It looked odds on that Mikel and Torres would go but recent 'quotes' suggest both will stay. Same with Cech. So not quite sure who the one foreign player would be unless maybe Zouma went out on loan and another CB was brought in.

{Ed008's Note - Mikel and Torres are players proving very hard to find buyers due to wages I think both will stay for the time being aswell as Cech unless a very good offer comes in for him. Marin is a foreign player who is not needed he would be the easier option.
I don't think Song would be an option certainly not a better player then Matic or the linked Khedira.

Drogba & Torres offer very little attacking threat and this is Costa's first Season in the Premier League.
Also because of Home Grown rules the squad will need to be very thin which won't help.
Where are the goals coming from, Hazard will need to really step up this Season as Willian is very wasteful, Oscar will be burnt out and Salah is technically very poor and young.
I think We've managed the squad really badly and if Jose doesn't Win either the Prem or Champions League, which of course is no easy feat He'll likely be axed.
{Ed008's Note - Torres and Drogba can contribute easily 15 goals between them I think your underrating them, Costa has been one of the most consistent strikers for the last 2 years and Hazard is coming off the most successful season in his career in terms of goals, add Schurrle's eye for goal when starting and Fabregas box to box midfield work which makes him a threat I see this Chelsea side scoring goals when needed from all areas of the pitch!
I don't Jose sacked if he doesn't deliver either Title but surely a must improved squad and a proper No9 striker boosts our chances of either winning the Premiership or better both Major competitions.

I just feel that We're taking too big a risk on the forwards, Diego Costa looked immense for much of last Season & has looked good so far this pre season but if He doesn't hit the ground running or picks up a bad injury We're left with Torres (sigh) & a past it Drog.
With all the sales We've made, the increased TV revenue & all these other riches We're supposed to be swimming in, I find it hard to believe We have back up forwards who are at best, no better than our back up's last season.
Also We've replaced David Luiz with a Young & very very raw Zouma which at this moment in time doesn't look like much of an upgrade to Me.
If Terry or Cahill are out for any length of time does anyone really feel comfortable with Zouma as the alternative at this stage of His career.
I appreciate home grown rules are a stumbling block but I just feel over a course of a hopefully 55-60 game season We might come up short.
Especially with our short comings at either end of thd pitch.

Is there an intention to sell Luiz and/or Ramires Ed?
{Ed002's Note - There has been interest in Ramires. I don't know if it remains. Right now I would not be surprised if he left. There is no interest in Luiz that I am aware of.}
1.) The interest having been from Juventus?
{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid tried to find a way to take Ramires from Chelsea to Madrid in January but their interest has moved on. Barcelona has asked about the availability of Ramires but they too have other higher priority targets. Juventus has not shown direct interest in Ramires but are aware that the subject of a move to Juventus was broached with his agent by Chelsea.}

Has this swap deal quoted in the German newspaper involving Luiz and Mandzukic got any truth to it?
1.) I'd be gutted if luiz left, but manduzick is a player who fights and gives it all, on the other hand IF we get costa manduzick with lukaku situation still In the air we have no variety, all 3 strikers are big strong powerful players, who in truth play as lone strikers,

Cheers Ed. I'm gathering that list consists of the usual suspects - Costa, Cavani, Falcao & Higuain. Anyone new to add to that list?
{Ed002's Note - I would not include Higuain. Martinez remains in the thoughts of some and whilst certain parties at Chelsea would like to make a move for the player, someone very influential remains unconvinced.}
