what are peoples early thoughts on Ross Barkley? i am an everton fan like and was not bothered we lost him at all. runs aimlessly around slows play down by turning in a circle 14 times before passing or being dispossessed and.

i think he has put on weight. lol.

2.) 03 Feb 2018 00:23:44
Young and lost his way. Still has bags of potential and has the ability to be a very very good player. Needs to stay injury free and work hard and listen.

3.) 03 Feb 2018 18:57:44
Didn't really rate him tbh but hope he proves me wrong and for 15m its minimum risk. Time will tell.

4.) 05 Feb 2018 14:32:36
is he injured again? actually feel sorry for him his legs just fail him a lot.

as an everton fan looking in it looks like the players aren't playing for the manager again at chelsea, at what point do u start looking at the players? this is mostly same squad that downed tools for jose and conte now sarri. chelsea for me are lacking that john terry type player who would run through walls for the club and am sure wouldn't allow any of this nonsence to happen. Similar to us we have no leaders on the pitch anymore and it shows.

agree mate. However this season I can kinda understand players being a bit frustrated at the manager.

1. same team week in week out

2. same formation week in week and out.

3. same subs week in week out (fans can name the subs - that's not right)

4. players not playing the right position (must frustrate other team mates)

5 . won't drop struggerling JORGINHO because it work it Italy (slow league)

I understand it's the club who pay their wages and they should fight and play for the badge. However it would be like me and to you at work.

if u had a manager that get on with u will work twice as hard for him than someone u don't. whether the company pay our wages. not saying it's right but it true.

We will get you at Goodison haha good game in the end for us. must have been frustrating for your lot though, good luck for the season boys and girls.

You played really well to your game plan and probably deserved your point - loving Gomes - and Mina looks a good buy.

cant wait to beat your lot on sunday and inflict your first defeat this season, am going 1-3 tp the mighty everton COYB.

What scores you going for lads.

3-1 Chelsea, although I do like what I’ve seen of your boys. I don’t mind Everton either, think it’s the hatred of Liverpool we share.

2.) 08 Nov 2018 23:49:22
probably Matt haha.

3.) 08 Nov 2018 23:53:48
I would take any win, though it seems that recently we are doing quite well against your team. 2-1 chelsea win.

4.) 09 Nov 2018 11:22:37
You'll have to get the ball off us to score 3 - doubtful - soz.

5.) 09 Nov 2018 13:04:42
I remember the old days when Liverpool and Everton supporters used to sit together, seems to have changed over recent years. A friend said it changed after heysal stadium and the resulting songs being sung by the supporters. Is this true Johny or eds?

{Ed001's Note - depends who you speak to, it was changing before then to be honest, but that just hastened it.}

6.) 09 Nov 2018 14:14:50
Read that Everton's danger man (Richarlison) is struggling with an injury, if that's true it will greatly affect their chance of a win against Chelsea. Fancy another Chelsea win.

7.) 09 Nov 2018 14:35:55
i have many red mates to be honest and i can watch derby games with them but most blues i no hate the arrogance of a small section of there fans that still think there the liverpool team ov old who demanded respect, they live in the past and brag about history its embarrassing really as we have the same number of premier league titles as them, i no football existed before that but its nice to remind them haha.

8.) 10 Nov 2018 00:32:55
Thanks Johny and ed01. Always amazes me how generations are raised to hate another team, obviously local rivalries like villa and Birmingham and arsenal and spurs etc. Why do West Ham hate spurs so much, do Everton and Liverpool supporters hate Man U more than each other . I also support Gillingham and we have a hatred for Swindon over one match which occurred 40 years ago.
Millwall and West Ham I can understand because that involved deaths of supporters, but it happened decades ago. The hatred in the older supporters is still as strong now as it was then, and they will influence the younger generations.

{Ed001's Note - I don't hate any fans, certainly not Everton. I want to beat them more than anyone else because half the family are bluenoses and I will never hear the end of it if they win, but I would never hate them. Life is too short to hate someone over a game.}

9.) 10 Nov 2018 10:06:55
I totally agree ed01, I don't hate any team but hate losing to certain teams more than others, But there is genuine hate with some supporters, my mate is a West Ham fan and seriously detests Millwall and Spurs. There again his hatred stems from his football hooliganism days, even being over 50 he still has the hatred.

{Ed001's Note - needs to grow up then. I have no time for those pricks as they are the reason why so many people have died in football disasters. We would never have had fences without those pricks.}

10.) 10 Nov 2018 20:15:59
i don't hate them am married to a red haha. i dislike man united more than liverpool tho yes, think it's just a natural rivalry between the two cities.

whats everyones early thoughts on Ross Barkley? i am an everton fan a d was made up when he left as he slowed every counter attack down by spinning on the spot with the ball then his final ball was 9 times out of 10 a pass to an opposing player. do u think he has a future at Chelsea or is he going to end up at West ham or the likes.

johny1989

1.) 07 Aug 2018 09:33:52
Not 100% sure on him, think if he works hard he will make it. But I'm starting to question his work ethic and his fitness. On a different note, you say West Ham and the likes. Everton and West Ham are on the same level lol.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 10:13:46
LOVE THAT SAIM, I once had a soft spot for everton but really really hate them now. 8/ 10 fans think they are a top 4 club and I wasn't a fan of them punting big sam! however, will be interesting to see how both them and west ham get on. a bottom half finish is surely failure after their investments. back to barkley, if he knuckles down and invests in sari's philosophy I believe he could be the goal scoring midfielder we are looking for. (I just wonder if Oscar would have done the job perfectly, I wonder if he would ever return)

3.) 07 Aug 2018 10:14:04
Regardless of what anyone thinks he was only bought in because he was £15m. This is the way the club is doing business lately. If it doesn’t work out for him at Chelsea I’m sure the club would still get a higher transfer fee for him. Would we have gone in for him if he had 3 years left on his contract. I highly doubt it.

4.) 07 Aug 2018 14:03:08
Is that the way to do business when you have just won the EPL, he was just £15m. I agree 'someone' thought it worth a punt but based on what? He had flattered to deceive all his career and was blighted with injury which clearly means Conte would not know a thing about him when that 'someone' at the club made the decision. From what I have seen so far he is another waste of money.

Everton fan here, what's happening to your club lads, watching from afar it looks a bit panicked.
whats going on with the manager?
is roman gunna sell?
and if he does does that leave you in financial ruin? your talkin someone ploughing 3 billion into the club to buy it pay roman and sort the stadium out that's before you look at players! scary thought really.
anyway hope you get back on track and finish above the reds this season haha.

johny1989

1.) 05 Jun 2018 13:58:09
Won’t leave us in financial ruins at all. CFC is a global brand and where it’s located there be no shortage of offers.

swim, I like what your thinking but not those players . maybe take cash plus michy and maybe RLC on 2 year loan? that would soften the blow and maybe throw a Cahill in to really sweeten the deal haha.

i think 60 would be a starting point, as u say we paid 30 and he's gone on to improve massively and becoming england no1, as a blue I wouldn't like him gone at all but would hope we held out for closer to 70 knowing u wer willing to part with 65 for Allison, the same Allison who conceded 7 past Liverpool last year.

not negative to defend well against a top team mate, we had six attempts at goal away from home against an unbeaten team not exactly 11 men behind the ball parking the bus is it? and let's not get into dives, bernard went down easy but good god what was rudiger playing at hahahaha.
