Ed002 since we missed Silva( he is moving to Madrid) who could be our CM target?

mn

{Ed002's Note - There is no push to look elsewhere at this time.}

Ed002 are we signing Danilo Pantic in January or in summer transfer window?

mn

{Ed002's Note - He is a child and Partizan want to sell him this month but there are complications over any sale to Chelsea which would need to be resolved.}

1.) Does it means we will sign in summer as a free agent. Partizan is irrelevant here it's all up to his dad (first hand info).
Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - Partizan is not irrelevant as they are looking to sell him this month. As I said there is a complication that would need dealing with worth. Why are you bothering me about this if you are talking with his father?}

2.) I don't want to bother you, the question is are we going to pay 2mEUR to secure him now and send him to Holland or we will just wait till summer? (The lad is Chelsea fan).

{Ed002's Note - Talk to his father and ask him about the complication that needs resolving. Hopeless.}

3.) 19 Jan 2015 06:15:31
I'm sorry, but I have(as a lot of you have probably done) watched his "highlights" video and I can only say he is playing with and against absolute rubbish in that league. Against a half decent defender he would be hamstrung and disposessed. To me, this is a buy now and profit later(with a sale) player. I will be pleased if this statement comes back to haunt me at a later time but there are a million players out there that would look great in that league. Yes he has speed(so has Ramires)and a bit of footwork but against players in a top league I feel he would be in their pocket. JT has slowed but would kill this guy defensively, ffs. And mn, every dad thinks his son is the next big thing, 2m, your joking aren't you, he is not worth that, not on that video.

4.) It seems that Chelsea struck a deal for 900k.

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the fee there will also need to be an additional payment to another club.}

Ed002 I would really like to known your personal opinion regarding Messi to Chelsea rumours!

mn

{Ed002's Note - I have explained at length what the actual situation is with respect to Messi leaving Barcelona for wherever.

I don't keep up with rumours I am afraid so cannot particularly help there. I am aware that several people have made several dumb remarks and I am aware that Balague has provided his calculation of €600M or whatever based on the buyout, the 56%, the wages etc. - but that is largely scaremongering. Guillem is a bright enough guy to be aware that if Barcelona want to rebuild at any point in the next five years their primary means to do so rests in the sale of Messi. If the player were to want to move on then it would not be of benefit to either to invoke his "buy out" clause as (a) he would not be going to another Spanish side, (b) the additional 56% does not go to Barcelona in any case, and (c) the cost would be prohibitive and could lead to litigation with the player and, potentially, UEFA.

As such, a plan to rebuild and a player who wants to leave needs to lead to sensible negotiation with potential buyers for it to be beneficial to any one at all - and that is what would, and probably will, happen.}

1.) 08 Jan 2015 15:01:55
Don't slate me too much for this, but I wouldn't be a big fan of Messi joining Chelsea. It always has to be about him, and I'd rather watch a team out on the pitch than a bunch of guys trying to get Messi the ball. Hope he stays where he is.
Barca fans would probably have a heart attack if he joined us :)

2.) Ed I know you don't want to be drawn into to much more of a discussion about the subject but are you in a position to be able to clarify if we are still one of the 3 teams that is seen has a viable destination for Messi?

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea is considered a viable option but I have no interest in discussing it further - I have explained the situation.}

3.) Okay got to respect that I appreciate you saying what you have, Thank you.

4.) Ed002 thank you! I have to agree with you about financial side of a possible deal!

5.) 08 Jan 2015 18:03:44
Thanks Ed

6.) 08 Jan 2015 23:32:19
Don't believe anything Guillem says these days, can't remember last time he said something correct

7.) 08 Jan 2015 23:48:28
Thanks ed.

And I wouldn't be a big fan too, but think about the popularity and income from the purchase of Messi. On and off the feild we would be almost unmatchable.

However, I would prefer if we continued doing what were doing, and sign pogba and varane.

Are we interested in Tyrone Mings Ed002?

mn

{Ed002's Note - Read the posts please.}

1.) Sorry, I've just founded. I mostly read banter page.
Thanks.

I have a feeling that none of you saw Icardi playing. I am not sure that he is good enough for QPR, not to mention Chelsea.

mn

1.) Judging off one game are we Mn?

2.) Judging on 7-8 Inter games I have seen this season. We watch Seria A in Europe.

3.) He's scored like 19 goals this season, he would be a great second striker

4.) Burns and Ings scored each 25+ last season in Championship which is more or less level of Serial A ATM. If you have watched serial A last few seasons you would probably new how poor and boring Italian league became- once it use to be the best league in the world. Except Juventus,Napoli and Roma all the other clubs are looking ridiculous.

5.) 28 Feb 2015 02:16:34
To say that it's championship level is a little bit excessive. Yes I think every other league is composed of 25-50% of teams that would be in the championship but besides about 4 or 5 championship teams every other one would be in a relegation dogfight in Italy and none would be above 10th.

6.) My bad MN, I apologise

7.) Italian league on a par with the Championship, eh? Did you not see the English teams in Europe this week! Fiorentina? Roma? Inter?

Mourinho has to find a way how to play against spurs and WHU.We have six injured players who are not training but they play games. I believe Mikel might be ready to play against spurs. If that's a case we might be able to confront them.

mn

1.) 24 Feb 2015 23:48:10
i hope mikel doesn't start

2.) 6 injured? Pretty sure it's only mikel.

3.) Yep I really hope ake or loftus cheek starts instead of mikel. its about time we introduce a young gun in a final just like how we threw in bertrand at the cl final!

4.) I would pay serious money to see Loftus Cheek start against spurs. look what bertrand has gone on and done after munich. Could really propel his career if he has a big game, which he is more than capable of doing. but of course I don't really think it'll really happen.

5.) RLC could be a risky move considering his experience. On the other hand spurs are playing Bentaleb on regular basis. Actually he is playing much more than Dembelle or Paulinho.

6.) Sit88 that's what Mourinho said recently.

22 Feb 2015 14:04:21
Bad news Spurs came back from 0:2 to 2:2 against WHU. Theirs moral is pretty high .Without Matic our chances are not very high.

mn

1.) Vertonghen pushing Nolan to the ground and ref gives nothing. If Matic is banned, then Vertonghen should be as well. I'm really getting fed up with the decisions of referees in the Premier League.

{Ed002's Note - Try not to be so anal about this. It is embarrassing.}

2.) Alright then

{Ed002's Note - I appreciate that.}

3.) No problem :)

{Ed002's Note - I recall Ed007 writing to the Scottish FA and demanding a game be replayed after he spotted an offside not picked up by a linesman.}

4.) Hahahahaha I actually burst out laughing reading that :-P
That's hilarious, talk about being pissed :)
Cheers Ed

{Ed002's Note - SuperCesc seems to be having a little moment on the "Teams" page - could cheer you up after yesterday.}

5.) You're right, Ed, he sure had something going on there. Don't know if it really cheered me up as I hate it when people post stuff like that (i.e. name calling etc.). Some people are easily offended, aren't they.

Now we have to find left footed Cuadrado so we may move Hazard to his natural position number ten.

mn

1.) That's the most interesting post I've read from you MN, hazard can imo play anywhere in attack and is or 2nd best passer in the final 3rd and combined with his pace and the pace of Willian and Cuadrado that would be scary

2.) If we played a different system and didn't have Mourinho or oscar. It would be this I bet.

Schurrle Hazard Willian

As the front three. I agree that hazard is best in the centre.

3.) I think Hazard in the centre and Willian on the left with Cuadrado on the right would be interesting. I always wonder if the reason Mourinho didn't go with Hazard in the centre is because he didn't believe he would work hard enough without the ball. I think he has shown that he is a harder worker than most expect.

As much as I would like Willian to come back from injury asap, I think the Villa game is the perfect chance to see what Cuadrado can do.

Ill say one more thing, good player or not, Icardi (would there seemed to be lots of talk about during january and december) i'm really glad we didn't throw 30 mil or whatever it would be. While douglas costa has talent, i'm also glad we didn't get him because it just seemed like a panic buy. I don't see the point in spending millions when we have players in the youth team who could do a job. Just need to give them a chance.

It also will free up the chance to spend when needed, e.g. Varane, Pogba etc etc. I like this model we are following. You look at who we have sold and bought and we are undoubtably a better team. I think the only player I would have liked to keep is de bruyne. I always liked him, but he just took a bit of a huff and in the end wanted to go. To be honest, I would have been happier if we sold Mata first and tried to give KDB a bit more time. but alas, what is done is done.

4.) 04 Feb 2015 22:54:43
I think having a winger that can genuinely scare teams is worth a lot more than a guy behind the striker. How many times have we seen hazard pull the full back and centrehalf over to him to open space for diego score? I also think that mourinho requires the person in the middle to absolutely put in a shift and sacrifice attacking threats at time which isn't what you want to do with one of the best 5 attackers in the world. I would be interested to see willian in the hole though.

02 Feb 2015 22:33:30
With half an hour left it seems that we are two players out one in.And as I recall Mourinho was recently speaking about squad depth.

So Kiwi you saw all 3 games he played under Mourinho?

mn

Kiwi you cannot comment on KDB since he practicality played only few games for Chelsea. He has serious impact at Belgian NT,dare to say that has more significant role than Eden Hazard concerning Belgian NT .

Does Chelsea has right to first refusal concerning Kevin DeBruyne ed002?

mn

{Ed002's Note - Of course not.}

KDB didn't get any chance to prove himself. And by all means it wasn't his fault.!

mn

{Ed002's Note - It was entirely his fault he ended up leaving.}

We were killing spurs last ten years. In last game our defenders underestimated spurs that's why we lost.
