Like a lot of players Shak he had a slight mid season dip in form but I think he has been outstanding.
He will be even better next season IMO.

Agree with you there Tom. Your right every player is allowed to have a slight dip in form but overall he has been brilliant in his position.

Not one assist thou. And granted his role is deeper but my opinion on it is if kovecic Barkley had more assists and goals to there game people wouldn’t scape goat jorginho. As RLC started playing and was popping up with the odd goal was around same time jorginho was getting some credit,

I've supported Jorginho throughout the season. Like Tom said, he did have a mid-season dip in form, but the whole team did as well. I think one of the main reasons why so many fans have criticized him, is that they don't fully understand his role in the team.
I think a lot of fans had an expectation that he would come in, dictate the game and make 10+ assists, however I don't believe his role is to be creative. He is only in the team to dictate the pace, which I reckon he has done fairly well. As Matt said, if Kovacic and Barkley had more goals and assists in them, he probably wouldn't have been the scape goat this season, but unfortunately that was not the case.

Jorginho was one of the contenders for player of the season at Chelsea. That says a lot about the situation.

I think it's safe to assume that we all rated Makelele - in 144 appearances, he had 2 goals and 4 assists in the league
Mikel, rated highly too, 1 goal and 10 assists in 249 appearances.
Why does Jorginho have to be rated on assist stats? 37 games and he's got 2 goals but it's assists that people keep coming back to.
We all know, had the finishing been better, his assist stats would be up there too. Jorginho has been a good addition to the squad and the latter stages of the season, has pushed to prove his worth to the team.
