You have no shame!
You were dumped and you still said that.
Chelsea also gave him all and he dumped her, so was contour or whatever.

{Ed001's Note - my question would be: did he really give his all? There were lengthy periods of his Chelsea career where he looked to me like he couldn't be arsed. Or worse, where he was quite deliberately not trying because he no longer wanted the manager at the time.}

Yea Ed001; your question is very valid, let's just wait and see if he gets mediocre at Real Madrid like he did at Chelsea sometimes before we can answer that question. I think he won't be carried like an egg at Real Madrid (like we did carry him at Chelsea) ; if Hazard wants a pat in the back to give his all at Real Madrid (like managers and players do to him at Chelsea) then he might have a little problem. Good luck to him at Real Madrid though- he's my best Chelsea player of all time (till date) .

{Ed001's Note - really? I think that is harsh on Zola.}

Couldn't agree more Ed and that is exactly why he is nowhere near a Chelsea legend for me and I've said it for a longtime
To be honest I have no emotion to him leaving at all
He has wanted out of Chelsea for years and only reason he was much better this year was he knew real were calling
Jose final year he was a disgrace feigning injury and quite clearly not acting professionally hence why he didn't score a goal until final month of the season if that was
William he would of got pelters
Good luck to him but not a legend in my eyes.

{Ed001's Note - the constant flirting with Madrid really annoyed me. I found it extremely disrespectful.}

Can't say I agree there Ed. He may not have the work ethic of a Ronaldo or Lampard for example, but you could tell he loved Chelsea and tried to do everything he could to help the team.

Could've downed tools after not leaving last summer, but instead he racks up an insane season, dragging us back to CL football in the process. He was responsible for half our goal output in the PL!

At times he was inconsistent, but I'd never accuse him of stopping to play at his best because he was sick of a manager. He's never been one to complain or sulk. He's just happy go lucky, and that's why I love the guy :)

{Ed001's Note - he sulked a lot from what I saw and constantly kept begging to leave Chelsea, not really much of a show of love.}

Matt martin I think that it is fake news that they shouted we want mbappe.

{Ed001's Note - it is defo not. They were chanting it and you can clearly hear it.}

Matt, Real Madrid fans understand the club is theirs because they remain the biggest asset to any club. Unlike here where many of us feel that the club has enough quality and should not 'waste money' on the high end players and just integrate their compatriots into the team. In fact they are so obsessed with 'awarding' starting positions to the youth rather than on merit, that they now want the transfer ban upheld by FIFA.
We have derailed from what made us a great club by settling for second strings players in the last few years and IMO it is fast making us second choice club especially now we have Liverpool back to top and other rivals getting stronger.
Sarri saw an opportunity with a more stable club in Juve and want to jump ship amidst uncertainties surrounding us and "Im more Blue than you fans" are claiming that the match day fans forced him out. Just because they demanded a better treat than what Sarri obstinately stuck with.
Watching Hazard unveiling made me feel like a jealous lover who looks on as his partner is being presented to a better man. I remember when Barcelona came for a swap involving Lampard and Deco at their prime with us recieving additional cash but we stood our ground. Now we can sell anyone even when no adequate replacements are not done.
Waiting for the judges who say I'm being negative.

{Ed001's Note - or Madrid fans could just be spoilt brats like you clearly are!}

Hazard's skill and dribbles trips me a lot. The way he goes past opponents with his body movement is what I like so much about him.

14 Jun 2019 10:29:47
He dropped tools for a couple of managers and didn't show up in more than a couple of big games.

Great player, probably the best of the recent crop, and most naturally gifted ever, but nowhere near the likes of Lamps, Terry, Drogba etc. when talking about Chelsea greats.

Ed01 that's a little hard on me, lol. Anyway football is first played to entertain the fans before it became business. So no pleasing the fans no business. I may not know how a football club is run but I do know when a team strong enough to challenge. Such a team wins trophies and consequently win fans across the globe. More so they not only make incomes from the trophy prize but also in many other ways like sponsorship deals. So it's a win win situation for all. These are what I see in Madrid, Barca, City, etc. Is too much to ask of a fan? We have experienced tremendous success running this way and IMO coming down from that would make us a second strings club. I luv Chelsea much more than that.

{Ed001's Note - but you are not talking about being entertained, you are talking about signing big money players. You don't need to win to be entertained, you don't need big money spent to entertain.}

14 Jun 2019 12:32:48
That much is true, Ed. I'm already excited about next season, hopefully with Frankie and some more youf.

We may not win as much as we'd like, but I'll be more connected to the team than ever and more excited to watch!

The way I see these things is that: if our Chelsea board cannot make the team stronger now (in two seasons) after Eden Hazard leaves, then I think no one should blame Hazard for leaving to Real Madrid; but if the board strengthens the team (in two seasons) better than when we had Eden Hazard, then it's a shame to Hazard that he left.
