I came across a piece of information today- that 'wowed' me.
THE TOP 10 CLUBS TO SPEND THE MOST ON CURRENT SQUAD:
1. Man City (€1.014bn)
2. PSG (€913m)
3. Real Madrid (€902m)
4. Man United (€751m)
5. Juventus (€719m)
6. Barcelona (€697m)
7. Liverpool (€639m)
8. CHELSEA (€561m) *
9. Atletico Madrid (€550m)
10. Arsenal (€498m) .
I have to confess that our Chelsea board deserves a thumbs up, if one considers the fact that the Chelsea wins a trophy every season. Our numbers are relatively not bad.

{Ed001's Note - did you see that in my review of the day? Though not sure why it wowed you, it is nonsense numbers that mean nothing. They are not even close to the reality as it is purely just outright spend and only counts players in the first team squad as of now. Chelsea's 3000 (or however many it is now) loan players are not counted, but that is money spent on the squad, even if the team isn't using them right now. The same goes for all of the teams, there is no accounting for the money spent on youngsters, which is huge in some cases.}

I haven’t got a clue what the spending table signifies but surely the NET TOTAL spend over the last five or so years would be more relevant and probably more interesting!

The net total is important, where we don’t look good at all (including 150 million for Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Morata and Zappacosta) . Liverpool have an incredible net spend as do spurs, through money wise, they’re the teams to look up too.

I think our net total won't be that bad, Morata's cash comes in next season for sure; Remember Chelsea recovered Bakayoko's cash from Matic's sale to Manchester United, although Bakayoko and Zappacosta can still bring some cash in next season; I can't say anything for Drinkwater.

Just shows Liverpool trying to buy the title as they did in the 1980s.

Drinkwater should be renamed to DrinkAlcohol or DrinkBrandy.
