Having come from 4-1 behind to level at 4-4 should be pleasing, however, I feel robbed that our 5th goal was chalked off. We still had chances to win the game. Brilliant 2nd half - lions.

I know what you mean Shak. Emotional roller coaster, feel totally drained.

I’ve only just got in Shak was it a case of us being defensively poor first half or credit where credits due to Ajax for playing well? See Alonso went off was he no good?

Not sure about you guys but I feel gutted with the score at 4-4 given that we was 4-1 behind. Strange game and feeling at the end. Abraham needs to be more clinical for me. Batshuayi created more than abraham in his cameo.

Danny, Ajax are a very good side but we made the situation difficult for ourselves in the first half.
Tammy shinned one into his own net when he should have headed it clear.
Alonso (very poor game) gave away a needless free kick out wide. The free kick was hit in with plenty of pace and beat Kepa all ends up bounced of the post back onto Kepa and into the net.
The other goal came from a good cross that was allowed all to easily, Dave was asleep on the back post and the guy nipped in to score a good header.
Apparently Ajax had one shot on target and scored three goals. That just shows how stupid some statistics are!

I'm not sure what what happened with Alonso, he was so so poor. He gave away a needless free kick in which we conceded. He was defensively very poor and his link up play was non existent. There was a cross which was so so overhit and the fans got on his back after that point. Lampard had no choice but to get him off otherwise the fans would have probably started to boo him the more he carried on. Kepa was poor with his positioning today. Improved in 2nd half. Seems to be a liability and I agree with Ed1's analysis on him. Abraham should have been more clinical. We had chances to win the game clean. CHO was very positive today.

7 points for all three teams.

Tom nice analysis mate. what are your thoughts, you reckon we will make it through? The the group has turned out harder than anticipated. I didn't expect this from Valencia. Thank goodness lille equalised against them in the previous fixture.

I think we will win the next two games and qualify. When we played Valencia the 1st time our young players looked nervous and we weren't as solid. However, we look a better side now.

all part of the learning process for all the young players. it's ok playing a premiership match but entirely different playing a top European team. Just a shame that one of our most experienced players Alonso had a poor game. But as a group they stuck together and would have learnt a lot, which all goes well for the future.

Shak, Valencia will be a hard place to get a result but I fancy us away from home.

We are Chelsea, so we will make it hard for ourselves in some strange way!

The Mount injury could be important over the short term. Hope it’s not serious.

Ajax will be without there two centre halves against Lille so could well drop points.

Thanks for the summarisation Tom b much appreciated mate.

Ajax plays team football, even without their sent off center halves player, they'll claim max point from Lille @ Tom B.
