I’d prefer a left footer myself but Sancho is quality nonetheless. Maybe Neres or Ziyech or even Sane when he returns if City don’t start him. Give us a new dimension.

Sancho isn't worth £110m and Chilwell isn't worth £75m.
We could fund part of the Chilwell fee by selling both LB I guess and promoting one of the youth.
I too would prefer us to buy a left footed attacking midfield player if one can be found who is talented and has the right work ethic.

The problem with players worth this and that. although I do agree, if we go out with a cap on what we want to spend, we end up with a drinkwater or Bakyoko or Zappacosta. We don’t need squad fillers, the kids have proved there more than that. But some world class players to take us to that next level, ie like Liverpool with vvd then Allison. from almost men to winners ( IMO )

No one is suggesting we should be signing average squad players anymore but Sancho is barely worth £60/ 70m even in todays market unless of course a club with more money than sense wants him.
We already have two of the best young wide players on the books and should be trying to spend more wisely.

We don't need Chilwell when we have Emerson who has been superb for us. Why spend over the odds for Chilwell, It doesn't make sense. That move will totally hinder Emerson and the eventuality is that he gets sold to another big team and one we may live to regret.
3 assists against a below average team and his world class now? Will you lot be wanting Ricardo Pereira soon given that his been on form too? Utd fans did the same when they signed Maguire and I wonder how well he has done.

Ed2 you have hit the nail on the head. Most of liverpools squad is formed of players that have been coached and developed to become stars. Credit to Klopp and his staff.
kepa, morata, Pulisic, Jorginho etc have all cost a lot. However, spending money isn't always the answer and doesn't guarantee world class players. Speak to Man Utd fans to start off. With money comes pressure and a lot of scrutiny. Some posters wanted Pepe last year, however would you want him over Pulisic or CHO now?
