Will united move to Werner now Haalands joined Dortmund, or do they have options, hoping chelsea make him a priority,

Ed002 has stated Utd have no interest in TW.

Timo Werner (S) RBL know of the interest of Chelsea who consider TW as a suitable replacement for Giroud. Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United remain keen - but this could change quickly depending on other targets clubs have - for example if MU were able to sign Haaland then interest in TW would go - equally if other clubs were not able to sign their targets, interest in TW might increase

Ed wrote this some days ago on this page - don't know if he's written otherwise on any other pages, but they've certainly had interest as of very recently.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United settled on Haaland and interest in a Striker in January has likely gone now.}

I'd love for us to get Werner next month. He could form a devastating partnership with Tammy up top. If we're looking for a Pedro replacement, he should top the list.

However, it's been widely reported that Werner wants Bayern Munich only. So if that's true, it'd be very hard to get him.

{Ed0666's Note - I hope you don’t get him he’s a dangerous player and would him to go to a rival.

I would be very very disappointed if we didn’t get him,

We're not going to get him in January. You're getting very excited.

Well I stand corrected then - really interesting to hear!
Haven't seen much of Werner, is he actually a good winger as well as a top class striker? Or would we be better off either trying to use him together with Tammy up front or alone up top leading to Abraham becoming second choice?
I honestly think it would be a bit harsh on Abraham if we would make him second choice, and I cannot see why Werner would leave to not be first choice.

He is a young German striker, his pretty much a young Jamie vardy, Very similar, can play as a wide forward,

Something between a striker and a winger. He shouldn't be playing striker for a team when there's no space in behind the defensive line. In such cases it'd be better for him to play in a striking partnership or coming from the wing.

He's an excellent goalscorer, with great finishing and intelligent running. He doesn't need the ball at his feet to be effective, which would be refreshing in our squad in my opinion. He's very good at moving without the ball, and that's something we're perhaps missing in our squad.
