Lot of negativity around at the moment so thought I would give my view.

Most fans have wanted to see the youth given a chance, it is happening. Transfer ban in the Summer meant no recruitment. Our best player left and could not be replaced. Our most creative midfielder was injured and is only just getting back, RLC is playing for the 23's Tonight.

The Season starts with key players injured. Pundits and fans alike give us no chance of top 6 let alone top 4. Facts. Meanwhile ALL our rivals have the chance to recruit for the Season. Fact. We start behind the 8 ball. Fact.

As the season starts we hit a rich vein of form, confidence is high and the pundits are talking up the manager and players, all good so far. we then hit a wall, was always going to happen and the confidence drained, injuries to key players took a hold and the pressure builds.

The manager is young and inexperienced but has the puppies nuts to do it his way, chopping and changing, experimenting, testing players mental strength. Right or wrong is not the point. He is doing it his way. We are 4th. Fact. A lot gets said about our luck in the fact that other sides are slipping up but hey ho, who gives a toss!

Could be argued that if Maguire had been sent off we might now be 9 points clear of Utd. All ifs and buts and if my aunt had a willy she would be my uncle😁 all if and buts. We are 4th on merit. Fact.

We have an even money chance of making the top 4, or 5 if City are banned next season. None of our rivals, including Leicester, are putting significant runs together and I do believe we can qualify for the champions league. Either way, Frank will have learnt about the squad and himself and the team around him.

The club will then need to back him, already started as well. This transition has been needed since 2012 in my humble opinion and change takes time and has its ups and downs on the way. This is the first step and I for one believe the foundations are being layed for an exciting future. But there again my glass is half full. Thanks for reading.

G8 that was a good read mate. You have made some good points and it's nice to see some positivity.

I won't lie sometimes the frustration gets the better of me given our results. But that's the life of being a fan I suppose.

Nice post G8, most enjoyable.

Absolutely spot on G8. I'm pretty tired of all the negativity, we need to back Frank - he's the right man. It takes time and patience to build a great side. Neither Guardiola or Klopp pulled up any trees in their first seasons.

I've got to somehow rephrase "All ifs and buts and if my aunt had a willy she would be my uncle" to Danish. What an amazing line of words!

The final judgement should be made at the end of the season but the focus currently should be on our performance levels not our position.
Any other manager would be at severe risk of getting thr sack given goals conceded and our home form which isn't just bad its embarrassing.
If he can't see Giroud is better than Bats and -Zouma is better than Christensen plus the formation that makes the best of our squad is 343 or a verion of that then I doubt another six months will improve his management.
The people I hold responsible are the people who appointed him not the manager who will get a fat pay cheque whatever happens.
