I will be gutted if our club goes down the same furlough route as the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle and others.
Surely taxpayers money should be used for better things than this.
I'm not surprised with the PFA's behaviour and I'm also sure the majority of Premiership players find themselves embarrassed.
I am also sure, that the majority of players would and could have personally filled a significant percentage of any shortfall in the clubs general staffs salaries.
Just so people know, I also hold the same view about fat cat corporate bosses.
{Ed047's Note - when you say fat cat corporate bosses do you mean people like, Joe Lewis, Mike Ashley and John Henry who may have a fair few billion between them?

I'd like to think that if I we're the captain of a Premier League club I would have spoken to my squad and got them, as a group, to supplement staff wages. Footballers think very differently to the everyday person though.
Interesting that the league / clubs want players to take 30% pay cuts whilst a lot of players seem to prefer giving 30% of wages to front line charities - probably via their own individual charity foundations.
Is it too much to hope that once we're out the other side of this we'll see massive reforms in football such as salary caps? It's bloody unlikely, but in my mind it should be capped for under 21's and then an additional cap for under 25's. Hudson-Odoi will earn enough from his current contract to live a very comfortable lifetime.

Agree with sentiments of TomB and J and can only hope that Covid might lead to general rethink about how we could build a fairer -- and more caring world -- in general.
