Frank has to take criticism today. Team selection was poor from the start, Giroud on the bench is criminal considering he’s our most important player at the moment. Without him in the team we’re lost.
Only positive from this embarrassment is that there’s no way anyone will think this defence is good enough going into next season. Lack of leaders, warriors and footballing intelligence at the back. Makes you wonder why we let Cahill leave.

Yep 100 % terrible team selection. Why Abraham is starting I don’t know. And Christensen is a bloody baby. Then take of Pulisic wtf.

Tammy should be sold, offers nothing, no hold up play, passing is awful, gets bullied easily and always looks lazy with no drive or passion in his game. He was never at the levels we expect in a striker and don't think he will ever reach it either.

Saim, as I’ve said today and many times before out defence is so poorly organised but I’m not sure you can coach what all good defenders have and that is instinct.
Christensen and Rudiger have very little positional sense and all the coaching in the world ain’t going to change that.
I’m struggling to find any positives out of that performance. I suppose Dave was his usual reliable self and Pulisic tried hard but other than that I’m struggling.
Anyway onwards and upwards MY MIGHTY BLUES.

I really hope we don't break the bank for Rice. For me he's a DM and I don't think he would improve our defence. I would personally go for Upemecano myself, he seems to have the entire package.
Ed001 which player do you think the club should realistically target for our defence?
{Ed001's Note - Upamecano is a good shout, though someone like Manolas could provide a bit of experience and (hopefully) leadership. You have good young defenders who just need a bit of help and a quality keeper behind them.}
