Good to have you back posting with your usual optimism TomB. I wish I could think we could definitely make Top 4 and FA Cup but fear that in going for both we may miss out on both. I think that ECL qualification is nowadays much more important than a domestic cup, even if it certainly wasnt the case when we beat Leeds in 1970! If only in financial terms, pretty crucial to get the money in for our rebuilding, I would want to rest key players against United in the semis given we still have LFC away and Wolves at home to come. MInd you, if we defend like we did yesterday even Norwich could beat us and destroy any remaining hopes of ECL qualification by then!

I’m seriously p#ssed off JBS but I do think we lose sight of what was expected by most fans this season.
Most people talked about it being a transition season, so in a sense we have over achieved but we are Chelsea and we should always be in the mix to win a pit or two.
This season has probably made the club realise we need some heavy investment and to be fair the club look to doing just that.
We will be a very strong team next season IMO, so onwards and upwards.

Yes agree with you TomB and had reckoned we may not make top 6 before season started. Heavy investment needed and seems to be coming so still think very exciting times ahead.

Absolutely JBS, I don’t think us fans will have to much to complain about.
I’ve been impressed that the majority of posts have been understandably critical of the performance yesterday and that criticism in the main has been constructive.
I hate when posters become abusive toward players, management, the club, the Eds or sometimes fellow posters. There is just no need for it.
