So with Conte staying at Inter and him wanting to bring Kante to his team, are we going to sell to them? They have a wealthy Chinese owner as well.
I would love to get Rice in.
Christensen out, Tomori on loan, Kante and Emerson to Inter and bring in Rice and Ben White along with Silva and Benny C and perhaps Sarr.
That really would be massive for our defence.
And we know we are definitely going to add a new GK.

I love Kante to bits but if we want to be Chelsea of old again I think now is time to sell. His injuries are worrying me and playing twice a week more or less every week the next season won’t be good for him. Rice would be perfect as he’s been immaculate in that position for West Ham.
I’d take 70m for Kante and Emerson and reinvest that’s in Rice. Set for years then as he’s very good in two positions.

You would sell our best player King Frank? Our world class midfielder? come on, surely not! You build a team around Kante not sell him.

Yes I would G8. He’s not a proper holding midfielder he’s box to box. Frank is trying to transition him to that position. He’s 30 next year and injuries are creeping into his game and we’re now playing twice a week and his body can’t take it.
Whereas Rice is a leader, been perfect in that CDM role for West Ham and he’s 6’1 which gives us an aerial presence in midfield again. Not to mention he’s a born leader. Easy decision for me as much as I love N’golo. Rice and Havertz as two of the three midfielders takes us back to the days of Ballack, Lampard and session where we’d boss the midfield.

WC68, I agree completely. Selling him would benefit the club so much. He is just not suited to our style of play anymore.
He would be a force in Italy. It's win win for both.

I think 70m for both is rather cheap imo. Think we should at least be able to get 60 for Kante and 25 Emerson.

I’d try for a straight swap of Kante for Skriniar to play alongside Silva and put the money from Emerson (20m? ) into the pot for Havertz (along with money from Pasalic and hopefully sale of Jorginho) . Then try and swap players or money from Barkley, Batshuayi and Bakayoko or Christensen/ Rudiger for Rice. Ambitious I know, but this window has already shown itself to be extraordinary!
