Obviously very excited Havertz has signed and for a potential reported fee below what was expected but seen his salary is £310k/ week which is double pretty much the next highest in our squad. He’s been described as a generational talent by some and gotten high praise from the likes of ed001, who’s eye for talent is second to none. But I am shocked a bit that his salary is that high to start with, considering if he plays well we’d likely want to extend in another 2 years etc and it’ll have to be raised.
Overall this window has been fantastic for incomings, definitely need a bit of an exodus now with an extremely bloated squad. Fully expect Emerson and Barkley to leave soon, potentially Jorginho (although not sure anyone will have the funds for him) and then one of Zouma/ Christensen/ Rudiger or potentially Tomori on loan.
Whilst I feel we need another goalkeeper i've never seen any of the 2 French GK’s we’ve been linked to, but I trust Marina and Cech to get the right player in.
Rice I think we should hold off on, especially if we struggle to move Jorginho on, and I think Ampadu and Gilmour should be given this year to try cement their places in the team.

With all due respect, there's about as little chance of Kai getting wages of 310k/ week as me winning the lottery. I don't believe that at all. He's not getting more than Werner.

He was expected to be around £140k per week and the fifth highest earner at Chelsea.
