RLC, best position. Wasn't good last night and the few times we looked like opening them up he lost it or couldn't find a pass, I think he will be used to raise funds, poor injury record too, such a poor game but 3 points so that's important, pulisic ziyech change that whole formation and dynamic,

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree. If he doesn't perform he will be sold, perhaps in January. Potential is nothing when it comes to performance, especially in a big club like Chelsea.

His 24, he should be moving away from potential and be cementing a place / position. I saw a tweet saying play him beside kante, don’t think he covers enough ground Or tactically aware to play there, couldn’t get passes right and had a chance to prove a point, How sharpe did werner look, I was screaming at tv when RLC didn’t slide him in, loved havertz making runs beyond werner too, almost picked out early on by mount but showed glimpses just seemed nervous.

RLC has had a bad injury and has a long standing back problem.

If he can stay fit for a season let’s judge him then.

Remember, it’s not that long ago when he was fit, posters and fans were raving about him.

Let’s be patient. It’s only the start of the season and it’s likely we will need our squad in what is likely to be a very disjointed campaign on four fronts.

I will only play RLC next to Kante when playing Football manager or a similar simulation game.

Usually when your struggling to make an impact with the ball then you have to work and make the difference off the ball. That is what Mount is renown for because his pressing is endless. Havertz worked tirelessly yesterday.

Tom I think we've been more than patient with rlc already.

Gola, how can you be patient to a player who has rarely played due o injury?

Before the freak injury in the states, just how good was he?

Gianfranco, I repeat, RLC had a very disjointed season. Before his injury he looked the sort of player we all hoped he could be.

To say he has had enough time after one game of this season and in a position that for me was a mistake by Lamps would IMO be unfair.

Let’s judge him at the end of the season. I doubt it will detract from his value and he will still be young enough to be attractive to other clubs.

Even though I like RLC I do believe that his Chelsea career is coming to an end. If I had to keep one of him or Barkley I would choose Barkley as I know he will be able to play in more than half season games for the least.

Also RLC never seemed to work his socks off in any of the games. And as much as he is good going forward (or was good prior to injury) he never seemed to track back when team defends.
