hi ed oo1 hope your good mate could you give us opinion on lampards managerial career so far in cluding derby
I would like to here your opinion
at this moment I have my doubts but I would like to here your views as I respect them highly
I really hope he's successful but I feel another raieri always tinkering
cheers in advance.

{Ed001's Note - at both clubs he started off really well and the teams made massive strides forward, but ended their first season by crashing and burning when it really mattered. Though you still got top 4 anyway, that has to be a concern. Tactically he has some good ideas, but the execution seems to be lacking. That to me would suggest a coaching issue that he is unable to get the players to understand his ideas quickly enough. It could be the players at fault of course, but it does feel like it his incessant tinkering that is confusing them.

You only have to look at the game at the weekend, Werner on the left is, in theory, a great way to utilise the space in behind Alexander-Arnold. In practice Werner failed to exploit it because he was too intent on cutting in on his right and that allowed the danger to be closed down. You would think someone would have spotted that he was not the right player for that role and either said to him stay on your left or swapped him with someone who would do so. There was Havertz there really struggling to get into the game, it surely could have been a simple thing to ask them to swap over? The instructions are simple enough that he shouldn't need lots of training sessions to understand them. All that was needed was someone to make the runs in the space on the left and stay on their left foot to shield the ball from the defence.

It might be just that he is making it too complicated, as he is clever for a footballer, and probably forgets that not everyone can understand what he finds easy. Your average footballer is not normally well educated as they don't usually have time to develop their skills and their mind. Then they become pros and are far too busy enjoying the lifestyle it brings. Frank might simply need to dumb it down a bit for them.

In essence I guess what I am saying is that he has nice ideas but has yet to learn how to implement them. I just wonder if he really is the right man to be a number 1 right now. Maybe he will learn how to get the players to follow his plan how it should be done or more likely imo he is a better fit as someone's right hand man. Someone who can come up with the tactical plan to get at the opposition but lets someone else implement it, similar to the way Liverpool work. Klopp is the man manager, but Ljinders and Krawietz are the tacticians. Only, imo at least, the manager should be the one who man manages and implements the ideas first and foremost as he is the boss. It shouldn't matter where the ideas come from, he is just there to figure out which is the best of the ideas to go with and then make the team understand how to follow the plan.}

you can type fast mate lol
thanks for response really appreciate it
I have my doubts about lamps which is a shame I am not the best at putting things into words and can come across as negative or angry
but I have real concerns for this season as a whole we have spent big on really good players and fear if he can't get his message across to young English players last year, how will he get it across this year with so many nationalities
and before you get at me I know there was non English players last year but the core was young English players or players who have been in england a long time
I hope when we get all our players fit he picks a core 11 and a formation and sticks to it
again thanks for reply have a good day mate
im off to play career mode fifa and footy manager now get some more ideas lol its a JOKE.

{Ed001's Note - it actually might be easier with foreign players to be fair. Usually European players tend to have a higher level of education, though the situation is improving in England nowadays. Not sure why it is, maybe a cultural thing as it is not 'cool' for sporty types to work hard at school in England.}

I live in Belfast at its frowned upon here education is everything
Let's hope his messages get across soon ed
Good talking to you mate stay safe.

{Ed001's Note - that's how it should be really. After all you might be as good as Pele but it only takes a trip over a step to end your career as a footballer if you are unlucky. Unfortunately a lot of kids are self-entitled and don't think ahead at all. I know I was at their age, so I am not judging them for it, just saying how it is.

Take care mate and you stay safe too.}
