Hey guys, visiting from Liverpool page!

Chelsea have made some class signings this season and I think you will be challenging us right to the end if lampard can get them settled quickly. As well as that I think you have a young team who could potentially be challenging for the next decade.

Only question us about Thiago silva? He's been pretty old and never was a physical player really, do you think he's good enough for the level you guys are at? Is it not a bit of a risk playing him in the prem against some of the bigger physical strikers in europe?

Love to get your thoughts on him to Ed, do. you think he's good enough? Zouma looks decent and tomori looked good in glimpses last season but is he lightyears ahead of these guys?

Cheers lads, good luck for the season.

Tiago is a stop gap measure clearly and while he might not be like Zouma in the strength league a combination of the two should help.
I don't see us closer than 10 points from the eventual champions this season as we still need a top CB and a combatative midfield player in the mix plus we have to integrate the new players of course.

Looked good against Lewandowski, the best 9 in Europe last season, during the UCL final.

Our squad lacks leaders, I think he comes in and becomes a leader straight away. That's going to be as important as his performances on the pitch, but I expect them to be decent too.

{Ed001's Note - I think he is exactly what Chelsea needed at the back myself. He might not be as quick as he was, but he is a clever player and has good positioning.}

Absolutely! People go on about Silva's lack of pace, we've got three CB's with bags of pace, who unfortunately tend to use it after they've been caught out of position.

{Ed001's Note - I don't remember him being particularly slow anyway.}

Agreed in that the success of CB’s is largely dictated by the defense as a whole. I can think of very few defenders without glaring holes in their game and so it largely comes down to how the people around complement your game. Also you see far less two striker systems so I imagine we’ll see zouma marking the opponent a striker with Thiago directing the line.
