According to The Athletic Lamps has roasted Alonso and he is probably not going to play for Chelsea ever.
That's a great decision in my opinion. His work rate and attitude is just not there and I'm not even going to talk about how awful he is as a LB.
Shouldn't have gotten to this, but the sooner he goes the better for both parties.

Alonso's attitude has always been questionable. But I do agree- this is the line.

Player steps outside the team ethic and gets an ear bashing, that’s the way it should be. I’m sure there have been other players who have the same treatment from Lamps and other Chelsea managers.

Alonso is a wing back not a left back, huge difference, playing him as a left back when he can attack and not defend is a mistake in its self, fact it was either him or Emerson wasn’t good enough, and I agree, why roast him now, what if we can’t move him on and emerson goes, we have to rely and him as back up.

My guess is Matt he got roasted NOW because he deserved it.
It looks like he trained with the squad today so again my guess is he has apologised to the team and everyone just moves on.
Anyway out of Emerson or Alonso, if we are going to sell one of them I would prefer it to be Alonso.

I think he got roasted due to the issues leading upto the event.
- He was at fault forbthe 1st goal
- He runs lethargically and pulls a West Brom player back to get a yellow card
- At fault for the 3rd according to Lamps
I think the last straw was the team coach incident.
Fair to say his finished. Again, a bit late and as Matt said his a LWB and not a LB so Lampard is to blame here too.

Not sure why he is finished? I would prefer Emerson anyway but I guess it might come down to who we get an offer for.
