One for the oldies: I (mis) spent my youth screaming 'Go on Clive' as we continually pumped the ball long so that Clive Walker could use his pace.
I had a few deja vu moments last night as we lumped the ball forward hoping that Werner's pace would win the day.
I don't want to (mis) spend my dotage screaming 'Go on Timo'!
Unlike some other posters, I don't think that TW is a CF - he needs to play off someone - Giroud is the obvious candidate.

I ball over the top or down the channel is a very useful weapon against teams who want to play a high line MDW.
We want the defence to lose contact with the midfield so we can play through the lines and gaps.
Werners pace will make defenders drop deeper in my opinion.
I prefer Tammy to Giroud anyway but may well be in the minority.
I spent my early years at the bridge screaming for chopper to put players into row z. I wasn’t a nice child.

MDW, the second game I ever went to at Stamford Bridge was in 1978, and we beat Bolton 4-3. We were 3-1 down with not long left and then Clive Walker came on as a substitute and tore them apart. The winning goal was Sam Allardyce slicing one of his crosses into their own goal in the 89th minute.
