Last few days there has been a quite a few tabloids and some fan's calling or predicting lamps downfall bcos we drew with west broom, Southampton, Sevilla and lost to Liverpool. I think these are games where step by step I see lamps is correcting the flaws in defending and attack. Liverpool was a very poor tactical outing for lamps. But we held on our shape till Christensen's send off and after that we lost our shape a bit which Liverpool capitalised and error from kepa and penalty miss from jorginho gifted the victory to Liverpool. Having said this I still think he should have attacked as a team or defended deep and hit them on break. We did neither well. One point from West broom game was we were down 3 and fought back which was lacking for a long time. Southampton was interesting one. Significant difference in attacking pattern from first and second half. Also the second goal was a comic error from zouma and kepa. But what was interesting is that tactically he was moving towards setting a strong defence ( like our prev teams) and is experimenting a bit currently to see who helps where. Sevilla game showed it even more. Still we have issues at the back and midfield and lamps understand this very well. So we keep seeing two sets of play viz attacking football with high press for sometime and deep defending with 2 banks for some time in a match. May be lamps thinks this is a suitable option in the longer run as matches comes thick and fast. But our weakness in midfield ( lack of dm) and shoddy defending at the back is costing us points. He realises this weakness hence the move for rice/ zakaria. But I am also flabbergasted as to ampadu's loan as he is equal to these players in that dm position. But I could see lamp's vision for the team and I firmly believe we will see a better output once we settle as a team and players understand each other well.

Id like to see how we fair with Mendy, Silva and Chilwell playing consistently. 2 clean sheets from 3 suggests they are a massive upgrade when in the team.
