433 from now on please Lampard!. We looked clueless with the ball until he made the changes and then everything flipped, i know the game was all but over at that point but we still looked soo much better with Mount, Kante and Kai as a midfield 3. I wanted 4231 at the start of the season but we don't have a player like Thiago or Kimmich who can pass between the lines so we become very boring and predictable with the ball. It limits Kante and playing Kai deeper has it's risks too but we'll look much more fluid with the ball and won't struggle getting the ball to our attackers like we have quite often this season. Ziyech was my MOTM, can't wait until he's fully match fit. Going to be such a big player for us.

4231 was a real struggle last night. Our CB's are ill suited for modern day football with their passing abilities. No real route or method to get the ball out other than passing to each other. Madblue has put up a really good thread about this already and I couldn't agree more.
4231 should work better with Thiago Silva in the side tbh. I'd like to see it on show again with Silva. If it doesn't work then its time for 433.

Agree Shak Thiago will add better ball progression if we stick with a 4231 but still, having a pivot in front of him who can't pass between the lines won't change much. And his passes would be even more effective in a 433 imo. Don't mind sticking with a 4231 in big matches for now since there's still question marks over our defending but against lower opposition i hope we see the 433.

I agree LB90. Burnley will be a real test. I hope to see another clean sheet but with some attacking flair. I just want to see good progress and a nice win. A balanced win will be brilliant.
