Congratulations to both teams in Paris tonight. Long overdue in my opinion.

Be interesting to see how the authorities deal with the situation.

What’s your thoughts on this Tom, as much as I think it’s overdue and sends an actual message I wonder about the circumstances, if this was a last 16 or quieter final game, would both teams walk off? If the losing team walks off would the game be re played like this one will, a semi final or final?

{Ed0666's Note - you make a good point Matt. If this was the final and Istanbul were three up with 2 mins to go would they have protested with the same vigor? Who knows that’s hypothetical but we have to admire their courage and the Partizan nature in which they supported Webo. It truly should be a watershed moment in Soccer.

I would like to think the relevance of any game would make no difference but I’m probably being naive.

In all the heat of the moment the weekend I don’t like millwall but I don’t disagree with what they did booing either. Racism has no place anywhere in the world but they’re putting the message across wrong. I think it should all lives matter no matter what colour. The message being portrayed is wrong.

It’s the same with C.V., it has a 99.9% survival rate and yet everyone’s lives have been ruined by it. I think you should only wear a mask if you want to or you have underlying health conditions.

What’s more upsetting is the amount of suicides that happen everyday or how they’re going to increase so much due to loss of jobs and redundancies. Bad times right now.

Obviously all lives matter and the message that BLM are trying to get across is that black lives have the same value as all lives.

Having lost two valued friends and a member of my family to this dreadful C.V., I am biased as to how our government and the public should behave.

Over the last few months sadness has taken a huge toll on our country. This disease and its effects, directly or indirectly, has left some of us wiser, some of us sadder and some of us confused but I’m sure we will get through it and come out stronger.

My advise for anyone struggling, is to seek help asap.

I'm frankly disappointed but not unfortunately not surprised something like this still happens in 2020. Racism has no place in football or anywhere else. I think both teams should be commended for taking a stand and walking off the pitch. As Tom said, the relevance of the game is in my opinion irrelevant, something like this should simply not happen regardless of which state of the competition we're in.

Graham, you are really missing the point over BLM. Having grown up in Brixton, I saw what my black friends had to put up with especially the racism from the police. As a white man in England, I have never experienced racism - and that is the point - no black British person should experience racism in their own country but ALL of them do.

Remember the verbal racist abuse suffered by Sterling from a Chelsea fan quite recently - white people do NOT have to put up with such racist abuse.

Black Lives Matter really means Black Lives Matter Too and I'm glad that Chelsea supporters applauded taking the knee.
