What do you guys think of Giroud starting for us? Has it actually helped us or hindered us?

Agree0 Disagree0

There are games that he should be starting and there are that Abraham should be starting. Truth is Abraham presses more than Giroud. I think- depending on the opposition, Abraham should start while Giroud should start some. For instance the game against Wolves should have Abraham’s even though Giroud started.

I completely agree Obinna.

Giroud's style of play is very stationary imo. He has a big presence inside the box and that leaves very little room for Werner and Pulisic to operate. With Tammy moving around the pitch much more, there is actually more space for Werner to work. With Giroud he has to stay wide and that hurts his game a lot.

I think the likes of Kai and Werner should have a kind of freedom to work and roam around the box. Maybe a 4321 formation, with a front three of Pulisic, Kai and Werner/ Tammy, is the sort of thing we need to get best out of them all.

Statistically we were better with Tammy starting, 12 games 3 draws 9 wins,

I prefer Tammy but I know I’m in the minority. I’m not sure in what direction the club will go in choosing a new CF and I can’t see Giroud leaving in the next Window unless we have a replacement.

I'm with you Tom. As much as I like Oli, I just believe he is more suited to our style of play.
People criticized Tammy for missing half decent chances, but I'm not seeing any criticism for Oli after he missed loads of good chances in the past 3 4 games in the league.

One thing I learnt watching Sir Alex Ferguson is that certain players are certain teams’ krytonite.

One thing I learned from watching Jose. When you think you can’t be any more embarrassed, just watch his next interview!
