I wasn't happy when the club gave Conte the sack. It was reported there were dressing room issues, I would have got shot of the players and kept Conte but in general clubs do t do that. To be honest Conte not extending his contract didn't sit well with me either.

I would never have hired Sarri, not because of his football but because of his commitments pre joining us. He finishes 3rd and wins the Europa league but some fans aren't happy with Sarri football and anyway he is homesick.

The club then choose Lamps as our manage, I thought this was to early in his career and was a mistake but this was a season that we couldn't sign anyone and introducing our young players was seen almost like a pressure free season. We qualify for the Champions League and get to a cup final. Most pundits, fans and posters think this is success but in a stop start season some people aren't happy.

The ban is lifted the club sign what appears to be some quality players. We all rejoice but most people think it will take time for so many new signings to adjust. Plus, we still have young players learning their trade.

We don't start the season well but then go on a run of unbeaten games. Most pundits, fans and some posters are happy. Lamps is seen by some as brilliant, the squad is the best in the Premiership and we might win the league.

We then give a bad performance and lose against Everton. This is then followed by more poor performances culminating in a lack lustre performance against a good City side, that we made look even better.

Of course we can go on changing managers every season or so and yes that tactic has proven over the Roman era to be successful but for me I crave some stability. So, for once I hope we see a project through and judge the manger or player at the end of the season.

The task we set Lamps was never going to be easy a fact most people recognised when he was signed to do the job.
Lamps deserves criticism along with some players but I believe this is a project that's worth seeing through to its conclusion.

{Ed0666's Note - That conclusion will be end of January.

That will make me sad but some posters happy Ed.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m sorry to upset you Tom but he’s not the long term answer to Chelsea being winners again. If he lasts till the end of the season it will be a miracle.

Did my reply to your post get lost in the post Ed0666?

{Ed047's Note - ed666 is a different time zone Tom so he won’t pick it up until later. I’ve held it for him.

That would explain a lot Ed047.

{Ed047's Note - he’s usually about mid afternoon Tom. 👍

No worries. I was just referring to Ed02s no “knee jerk” post from yesterday.

{Ed047's Note - no probs mate

TomB, those of us who don't believe that Frank is up to the job and needs replacing sooner rather than later will NOT be 'happy' to see him go. Personally, it will make me very sad that Frank was not as successful as a manager as he was as a player as I was really excited about him coming.

But we cannot ignore the facts: the lowest percentage win rate of any manager since RA bought the club - and that includes some pretty poor managers!

Tom the next 6 league games will definetly decide franks fate he will be gone by Feb 2nd imo which is a shame I really wanted Frank to be our pep klopp fergie wenger and add stability and success from 1 of our greatest players
but he just isn't good enough
Everybody saying no pre season we wernt the only ones and we are half way through season so had plenty of time noe
That rice is the final piece missing and is going to save the day really
Tactically out witted by every manager in top ten bar David moyes lol
3 nil down to wba at half time they are 1 of the worst teams in prem history
How many times have we conceded 3 goals or more
I'm not got to win every game at all costs or managers out
But I see no improvement
No real ideology in style
Doesnt know his best team
Doesn't know his best formation
Boring crossing for sake of it
Passing backwards endlessly because the players look scared of making a mistake
No player is playing to there best even experienced prem players like kante chillwell kovacic zouma azpi
When I look back at our last 5 games we have been awful going forward and defending
At 1 point yesterday we were bunching we were told to not do that in primary school
And everyone can say look at arsenal they turned it around do me a favour they played wba Brighton and us the worst 3 teams at the minute
If I could see a glimmer of something a spark of good football a piece of Tactical nouse a confident display against a top team I'd be so happy for the team and Frank but none of it is there and its sad to see that Mr lampard isn't our man and its a shame.

All about opinions Ed but I would prefer him to be judged at the end of the season.

I may well of misunderstood the recent comment from Ed02 that some sort of help/ new ideas was forthcoming and that a “knee jerk” reaction was unlikely.

I would be happy for any solution that helped Lamps and improved our performance.

04 Jan 2021 17:35:45
Me to if results and performances improve.

04 Jan 2021 09:03:43
Ed0666, do you say that with valid inside information or is it just your opinion?

@Tom:

I agree with everything but the Conte bit. He lost the dressing room. He couldn't connect with fans and the board, his transfer requests were truly horrible and he wasn't a good man manager.

{Ed0666's Note - No mate I have no inside info but I have journalist friends that have given me tidbits in the past and been spot on and also given me stuff that hasn’t materialized. They tell me Lamps is a dead man walking and it will happen before season end.

Sad really but the sooner the better.
