Results are the ONLY way forward for Lampard now from inevitable sacking. We are the most successful club in England since the RA era. His policy of hiring/ firing managers has worked exceptionally well. The policy will NOT change and it shouldn't as it keeps EVERYONE on their toes and it WINS us trophies.

My attachment is solely to @ChelseaFC. Frank left Chelsea as a player, at the time he wasn't happy that he wasn't getting enough game time and he had to put himself 1st which he did and he ended up playing for our rivals. Its a cut throat game, yes Frank is a hero but when the going gets tough ONLY Chelsea will always put itself 1st 💙

In RA we trust 🙏 💙 🏆.

Regarding results - we next 6 are morcombe Fulham and Leicester wolves Burnley and Tottenham, how confident are we of 5 wins and draw? Or 5 wins 1 loss? Or 6 wins?

Win against Morcambe, draw Fulham, lose to Leicester draw Wolves win Burnley and lose to Tottenham. I hope I’m wrong.

05 Jan 2021 19:20:54
I’d hope for at least 4 wins.

Wins
- Morecambe
- Fulham
- Burnley

Dropped points
- Leicester
- Wolves
- Spurs

Personally I think if we drop points in our next 3 games then its done for Frank. Morecambe is a win but Fulham and Leicester need to both be wins.

The Leicester game is the big one, that's where we need to see serious improvement and a result.

I agree J, it's a must win game and it will be difficult. Fulham have improved and won't be a gimme either. Frank needs to play his trusted players if there is some unrest in the squad.

06 Jan 2021 12:07:32
I'm sure there is unrest, as there would be anywhere when a teams on a bad run of results. I'm not convinced it's the player coup that some of the media will have you believe. If he is being backed then part of that process will be the club trimming the squad as per Lampard's wishes.

Fulham's just a must win, no questions asked. I'm not so concerned about the performance, just need that win. Against Leicester both Lampard and the team need to show they can beat a top four rival, and beat them well.

I think you have hit the nail on the head J. What are your feelings about the situation anyway mate? I'm interested to know, do you think he will turn this around etc?

I think you know my feelings, I'm not one to slander managers or players but I think Lampard's inexperience is evident here. His only been in management for 2.5 years and arguably has one of the hardest management jobs in world football at Chelsea. Learning the job at football club is hard, let alone Chelsea.

We don't know what Lampard is capable of yet, no one knows. I just don't feel he can turn this around but I may be wrong. I sincerely hope he does and proves me wrong because I'd love for him to be successful. But unlike other experienced managers I. e. Klopp you know what his capable of from his time at Mainz, Dortmund and now Liverpool.

I think it's more a case of me wanting to believe that he can turn it around, rather than believing that he will.

We knew that he was inexperienced, we knew that there would be a degree of learning on the job and that this would lead to inconsistency. My biggest concern right now is that we're not seeing the signs that he is learning on the job, we're seeing similar results from against top opposition. I don't mind him making mistakes, but it becomes a problem when it's the same mistakes being repeated. Lampard played in big European victories against Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc. where the team had to dig in as the opposition were superior, he knows what we need to do against superior opposition in order to get results. But, as a manager, his team keep trying to go toe to toe with superior opposition and we keep getting picked apart. Add that to our tendency to switch off against weaker opposition and it's a recipe for disaster over the course of a season.

One glimmer of hope that I have for him at the moment is the fact that he is the driving force at the club re signing Rice, who is exactly what I think this team needs.

Thanks J. Its interesting when you hear the views of others. I think you've pretty much summed up everything I feel. I couldn't disagree at all. It's these same mistakes that is hurting the side over and over again. Maybe he needed an experienced head in his coaching staff.

I've seen people question Jody Morris, but he's really well respected as a coach and understands the youth system. The guy we brought in from Wigan has also worked wonders with set pieces at both ends. Maybe a Steve Holland type assistant would be good, much like OGS brought Phelan in at United.

Maybe cutting down the squad and have a smaller core group to work with will help improve things.

Again some brilliant points there J, Steve Holland would have been a vital cog and a massive input. I'm not sure as a club if we can do anything to support Frank right now, we just need to grind out results and get to next season.

I think the large squad has been a massive issue. Its created a bad atmosphere, when things go wrong its made a lot worse. For Frank keeping everyone happy has been a challenge.
