Disappointing result last night. More so because the performance was so awfully lethargic and without purpose.
We were so slow in everything we did and we never truly made a dangerous opportunity to score. Our attacking players touched the ball very few times and when they did it was a back pass to get them out of a trap.

The season could be salvaged with a squad full of leaders or players hungry to show their quality for regular minutes in the first team. But at the moment there is no leader and no desire in the team. I'm not sure how we can make that right, but I think Lamps has done everything he could, the players sometimes have to have that sort of mindset themselves.

I'm not a coach so I don't know anything about management, but IF I had to make decisions in his shoes, I would choose a regular starting XI based on form and change it up just when it is absolutely necessary.

But I'm afraid there wouldn't be much time for Frank to turn it around. I think a sack is more than probable at this point.

I would still give a couple of games to see if he can turn it around or not. Wolves and Burnley coming up in the league and both of them home games, can give us the kickstart we so very badly need.

Anyway, win or lose, UP THE MIGHTY BLUES. 💙👊🏼.

I would like to add that only Mason Mount shows up to every game and he was the only one running and bringing the energy.

It should not be like that. Those players have to look at themselves and put up better performances with more energy from now on.

Also, no one is rewarding the runs our attackers make. There is no long ball behind the defence. Not sure if no one sees it or just ignoring it.

I was up till 3.45am to watch the match. What hurts me the most was lack of effort from players. Barring mount no one tried hard enough. There were lot of times the runners up front didn't time the run or if they timed the run there was no over the top ball from defence even though rudiger, Silva, James and chilwell were under no pressure at the back. These are basics and not tactics. Every time Leicester had the ball they looked for quick pass over the top into carry. Their second goal came thro that. There was lot of speed and purpose in their play whenever they had possession. We didn't have either. It could be down to motivation levels being low for many individuals. But it's not an excuse. Also lamps didn't do much to improve the situation. There was no communication from the side lines. It's a painful watch when you team gives up without a fight. I watched india battle Australia in cricket yesterday. Its literally minnows vs giants and India came on top bcos the team applied themselves with grit and determination. Somthing that chelsea lacks very much at the moment. Board has done exceedingly well last summer to help the squad. But lamps and the squad are not helping themselves with such displays.

Excellent analysis Madblue.

We are so insisting on playing slowly from the back that I think it has made us ever so predictable. We actually tried the long ball/ direct approach from the back line in the start of the game and we nearly had a breakthrough, but we stopped it all together after the first goal.

I think we need to see more character from everyone in the team. Players and managers alike. The season is still salvageable if we put good performances from here to the end.

I'd love to see a change in our approach against Luton.
