I pray that this is the last time we appoint a club legend as a manager.

People can't put sentiments aside and they struggle to grasp the difference between supporting a former legendary player and the mighty football club that is Chelsea. It is unbelievable that there are fans out there that want the next manager to fail - WTH?

RA is a shrewed businessman, you don't reach the top by believing in sentiments. Lampard failed in other aspects, not just results. I mean looking at his transfer plans? I mean wth? Rice and Tarkowski?

I'll keep saying this, I support Chelsea and I am grateful for what Roman Abramovic has given us, his the true Legend, true hero.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shak - you get so animated over others opinions, nobody has said they want Tuchel to fail? They have reservations which is completely their right.

People have sentiments for Frank it’s only natural, it’s a day of sadness for fans, we aren’t all robots.

Rice - upgrade on Kovacic, RLC, Jorginho
Tarkowski - upgrade on Rudiger, Zouma, Christiansen.

I’m intrigued to see what Tuchel can do but going off being sacked by his last two clubs I’m not holding much hope until I’m proved wrong.

I can tell you one thing and that is if not for Frank Lampard, we would not have been nearly as successful as we have been over the years. So he is the true legend, Roman is a businessman so I find it odd that you share more affection with him than our greatest ever player 🤷🏻‍♂️.

It’s not just about his legendary status. I wanted him to stay longer out of respect. He done so much for us and thought he deserved more time.

I can see no problem with appointing a club legend as manager in the future Shak. As I’ve always said, the player and the manager are separate issues for me. I wasn’t a fan of Lamps becoming our manager but that was because of his lack of experience.

I said a decision was imminent but I was hoping it was some help coming in to help Lamps.

As always at our club the future will be interesting.

Unfortunately Shak there are strange people who almost prefer failure and their will be some that gloat about Lamps being sacked. That’s just the way it is I’m afraid.

Yes but it wasn’t for RA we might not have even been around now; the club was at least 75 million in debt and the ground was falling down.

All well put in your post Situation.

Absolutely bang on Situation88. I agree completely mate.

I actually understand now why everyone say we lack class.

Lads you are making good points but we all know that Roman doesn’t hold back on pulling the trigger.

We now move onto to yet another manager and as always as loyal fans we will support him.

As far as the club having “class”, I think we have shown our class as a club through this C.V..

There is no doubt that Roman turned us into European and domestic giants. However it’s the people on the pitch we go to watch, not the boardroom.

We all knew and felt in our hearts that when Lampard became our manager. it would hurt when he left, which it has done because we all wanted him to be our own “Alex Ferguson”.

Roman Abramovich is ruthless in the way he has dispatched Frank and at least has shown some empathy with a statement. So Tuchel comes in and it’s time to rally around and get these players going again. The only way is up, I think.

As always the sensible one Tom 😉.
