In the last 9 years Chelsea have only fired 3 managers (Jose, Conte, Lampard) . Tottenham have also fired 3 managers in the last 9 years and so have Manchester United

Makes you think.

Putting some perspective into the matter. I've seen people spread BS about the #CFC culture.

Agree2 Disagree0

Anthony Barry has decided to stay in #Chelsea and decline Fleetwood Town offer, because the chance to learn from Tuchel was too good to turn down. #CFC.

Shak, i would love us to have one manager for the next twenty years because that almost certainly means the club would be successful.

I have not been happy on several occasions about the club sacking managers.

Jose the second time was justified but the timing to me seemed pointless. We got in GH for the sons time and he has the worst win % any manager.

We should hope for the best be prepared fire the worst but whatever happens just get behind the club, players and manager.

I hope we see a long tenure under Thomas Tuchel. Personally, his the perfect manager for us. Tactically a master. I would love to see a long haul.

As always Tom, only respect for your views.

Do you expect TT to stay long? Even he himself knows he won't be here long. 18 month contract says it all.
He wasn't even the first choice, it was Pochetino.

Also, don't just consider the managers we have fired. We have had 4 managers in 5 years and we have had 9 different managers in the past 17 years. That's about one manager every 18 months.

Good news shak regards Barry wanting to stay and learn under tuchel.

@Ash 18 months with with option for another. Also I wish to focus on the FACTS, we have FIRED 3 managers in 9 years. That is a fantastic stat and other clubs have actually appointed and fired more managers than us.

@Gola, I'm not surprised at all about Barry. Not everyone is lucky to be able to work with a class manager like Tuchel. He will learn a lot in his development now.

But apart from 3 you CFC managers you mention Shak surely eg villas-boas, scolari, di Matteo, ancellotti and grant effectively had to leave though - but am not sure here - this may officially have been by 'mutual consent'?

Very smart decision by Anthony Barry to stay and learn from Tuchel, I think If Lampard can stay under a manager like Klopp or Guardiola, he (Lampard) can be the best manager in a few years.
