I think just how good am owner / person Roman abramovich is and how brilliant he has been with the nhs / furlough staff / hotel situations, the anti Semitism and racism and donations all goes un noticed, each thing he does is mentioned but I mean the whole lot and just how brilliant he has been, yet can't get British visa, would love him back watching st the bridge, in Roman we trust.

Agree1 Disagree0

We struck lucky that’s for sure Matt.

I remember seeing him walk to matches with his entourage up the Fulham Road a few years ago. Obviously our fans were giving a standing ovation.

02 Feb 2021 02:17:51
It’s a shame there’s so called loyal fans like Rory Jennings who are calling for his head just because Lampard was sacked. We’d be nowhere now if it wasn’t for Roman. Boy I hate that lad it such a shame he gets so much social media attention regarding Chelsea.

{Ed0666's Note - Roman should have a statue. The guy really is a legend. Do you guys sing his name at the match?

02 Feb 2021 06:23:34
But he was recently in Navalny papers as well. So I guess it's not just all glory.

02 Feb 2021 06:53:04
Rory is a click bait clown, can't stand that guy.

Not really Ed, not unless we're about to win something. Disgraceful really.

02 Feb 2021 06:56:50
Having said that we don't sing much at the Bridge at all really. Two whole stands of silence a lot of the time. Didn't go last season, as I moved away from London, but the last I remember a really good atmosphere was during Conte's title winning season. I suppose that says more about modern football than just Chelsea though.

02 Feb 2021 10:09:04
J, tbh Conte's was the last team to deserve an atmosphere.

02 Feb 2021 10:22:53
Suggesting Lampard didn't MDW?

02 Feb 2021 10:51:55
Have you been watching over the last 12 months, Ashk?!

02 Feb 2021 11:24:33
Yes I have and it is very concerning that you as a fan wouldn't want to sing his name if fans could go to stadiums.

02 Feb 2021 11:44:41
Mdw mate, yes I looked at all games this season. We were much better albeit naive in some games ( Everton, wolves etc. ) . I genuinely thought lamps found a way of preferred play with kante sitting deep, ziyech/ pulisic on wings, havertz/ mount as dual 8's and a striker up top. This indeed worked well for 8-10 games. However the wheels came off with injuries and lamps couldn't figure out another way to make us click which led to his sacking. But I was honestly excited with the double 8's and thought it would propel us to the top. With fans it would have been magical.

02 Feb 2021 12:26:52
Madblue it doesn't matter if we were playing good or bad, fans at Stamford Bridge would have called his name from every corner and every stand.

Also I honestly think that Lampard was used by our board when no one would have taken the job at Chelsea in 2019. Worst way to treat a legend.

02 Feb 2021 13:12:03
Most managers are used by their clubs / boards. Most are scapegoats for bigger underlying problems at football clubs, whilst managers with successful records are rarely sacked. Frank Lampard isn't the exception to any of this.

Really looking forward to everyone moving on.

02 Feb 2021 14:17:41
I don't agree with the first part but I have already moved on.

02 Feb 2021 14:23:40
Ashk while I hoping lamps would be given time to turn around things due to the nature of the project we undertook when he came on board (i. e. integrating players from academy) but board behaviour was no different from treatment met given to other managers. Mourinho I being case in point. So I don't think board used Lampard. It's more a case of our board's usual behaviour which though has yielded results in the past still needs refinement. Hope they give tuchel time to get things in shape.

02 Feb 2021 14:26:49
Also Ashk I don't want lamps to be seen as a player legend. He should be assessed on his managerial abilities now. For me he did well except for city, Leicester games where we were thoroughly outplayed. I especially enjoyed the come back against West Brom when we were 3 down at half time. That's the intensity which I wished to see even when chips are down.

02 Feb 2021 15:51:14
Ask121 are you Christine bleakly.

02 Feb 2021 16:29:54
Madblue I agree with most of the things you said but to me offering a job to someone when nobody is going to accept it (at least not anyone good) and then sacking him at the first sight of problem, seems like a very unjust and bad kind of behaviour.
I agree that the board should do a lot better. I mean they just paid Porto around 13M just to get AVB and then sack him and pay him even more money!

Haha very funny Gola. You are hilarious mate.

02 Feb 2021 17:07:05
Thanks appreciate it.

02 Feb 2021 17:47:35
Maybe the crowd would have lifted the team especially with Lamps in charge but who knows.

Maybe the teams we have played away from home would lifted by their own crowd.

We will never know now.

Football managers get well paid in the Premiership and Lamps had 18 months left on his contract with Chelsea. He can take his time fine a club that will give him time to gain experience. He may one day return, who knows!

The continued remarks about Lamps the man on social media are disgusting IMO but part of the age we live in. Very sad.

02 Feb 2021 18:06:14
Indeed Tom, very disrespectful and shameful.

02 Feb 2021 18:30:52
I think there is a sickness out there Ashk.

Maybe it’s the strange times we are living in? If only!

02 Feb 2021 19:23:18
It has bring out the worst I guess.

02 Feb 2021 19:35:41
I just can’t see the joy these people must get Ashk.

Maybe they think there amusing!

I find myself getting so, so, depressed by it all.

02 Feb 2021 20:29:22
Do what I did Tom turn it all off I have none of it at all and feel better for it
Chins up mate.

{Ed001's Note - that's what I did gg and I feel happier for it too.}

02 Feb 2021 20:55:46
Thanks for the advice.

I have spent my whole life being polite to people, even people who were rude and I just can’t see what joy there is in other people’s misfortune.

Just a silly old sod.

02 Feb 2021 21:11:04
It's the most addictive dangerous pile of
Scrolling through other people's muck whether watching listening to wonderful they are or how depressed they are as I say to my kids
It's the most narcissistic attention seeking instant gratification heap of steaming dung on the planet.

02 Feb 2021 21:46:36
To many long words for me but thanks. I think?
