Since Tuchel came we got 13 out of a possible 15 points in the league. We are now sitting 4th with only 4 points behind United. We've also only conceded 1 own goal. Underperforming players are now back and looking sharp. What a wonderful 4 weeks it's been.

{Ed047's Note - the difference a quality manager makes with the great squad you have Shak

Can I point out a few times now TT has slightly changed things because he has seen a problem or opposite team has changed something, there were times frank and Jody didn’t seem to know wheat or where to change things,

15 Feb 2021 22:07:27
V good start for TT but he and we know that the tougher test are to come. But confidence should be growing again. We have to be delighted to be back in top 4 after more than 2 months out of it.

15 Feb 2021 22:13:03
He speaks very well and his performance assessment is spot on.

15 Feb 2021 22:23:37
I agree 100% Ed47, a quality manager makes huge difference especially when you have a great squad.

How have you assessed Chelsea under TT? Thanks.

{Ed047's Note - without wishing to put a downer on Frank he was really a little green to come into such a big job and despite doing ok, ok isn’t good enough for Chelsea.

TT comes in and you get a definitive direction and an immediate improvement, he just has that much more experience and seems happy to make change when it’s needed.

I know he has some baggage but personally I think he’s only going to make you better and that talent available to him is pretty impressive.

I can’t see you not making top 4 now where as before that was more of an unlikely. Next season he’ll then have the chance to give Liverpool and City a run for the title.

15 Feb 2021 22:24:58
Yes TT gave very honest comments about our need to be sharper and more clinical in last 3rd.

15 Feb 2021 22:28:08
Tom I knew you would beat me to it. I was going to post exactly what you have. TT’s post-match interviews are always worth watching: he was spot on particularly about our second half performance.

Sorry Ed, I think Liverpool will struggle next season.

Im not sure JK will have that much money to strengthen his squad.

They were fantastic last season and have had some bad luck with important players being injured but without some more quality I think JK will have his work cut out.

{Ed047's Note - not for me Tom, way to much quality, they’ll be back and all the better with more contenders for the title.

Just my opinion of course. 🙂

15 Feb 2021 22:41:20
And mine Ed and I’m usually wrong plus I’m very biased.

{Ed047's Note - haha no worries Tom, it’s all about opinions mate.

16 Feb 2021 00:48:48
Nice one Ed, interesting to see your assessment and one I agree with 100%.

{Ed047's Note - you’re welcome Shak

16 Feb 2021 06:46:48
Let's see what we do against better sides.

16 Feb 2021 09:15:06
You can only beat what's in front of you Ash. Previously we couldn't beat the likes of Wolves, Everton, Villa etc. So I'm pretty pleased we are beating sides of that calibre whilst having the scalp of Spurs. Up and up we go.

16 Feb 2021 08:49:33
Mister half glass empty AshK lol.

Ed047, I'd be worried if a Liverpool fan - one season-long injury (especially Sane or Salah) away from mid-table. And what is your opinion of Thiago, Ed047?

He seems to have changed the whole way that Liverpool played last season by slowing their game down - and that's without mentioning how poor he is defensively - Thiago reminds me of Jorginho at his worse!

{Ed047's Note - obvs I’m not a Liverpool fan but I think you are dismissing them way to easily and along with Thiago.

It’s much like playing Kante out of position.

Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho will be immense next season in my opinion and you forget Jota.

They are nowhere near a mid table club.

That would more likely be United without Bruno Fernandes for me.

16 Feb 2021 09:58:36
Well Shak we haven't played with Villa and Everton yet and we had a 0-0 draw with Wolves at the Bridge so definitely harder tests are ahead.

MDW of course you have to look at things both ways. Yes we are winning and it's good but for me the real test is ahead of us.
