It's easy to get excited about just the prospect of signing Erling Haaland, he's undoubtedly one of the best strikers in Europe. I'm certainly not going to complain if we do sign him. But, I think the club need to take a long, hard look at the potential of Jude Soonsup-Bell before signing Haaland.

He's only 17 years old, but for me Soonsup-Bell is one of the most exciting prospects I've seen coming through the youth ranks at the club. Everytime he steps up a level he continues to impress, and there's no reason he won't be in and around the first team in the near future - probably impressing there too. He's certainly one whose future we don't want to stifle with a signing, no matter how good Haaland is.

I'm old enough to remember Tommy Langley who everyone raved about at youth level because of the amount of goals he was scoring - Tommy made the 1st team but wasn't quite the sensation that it was believed he would become.

It's often the case MDW, I think Solanke is the one who recently failed to meet expectations; even when he pushed for a move away. To my untrained eyes though Soonsup-Bell has that something special about him.

I often think the onus is on the club to get the pathway for these kids right, to make sure their talents aren't wasted. That is something Chelsea would seem to be getting better at.

Sometimes I cringe at some biases and obsessions some of us fish outm keeping a position for a player who hasn't even made a first team appearance. we have had youth player who failed to to live up to the hypeyou think it's better now to sign a player every top eauropian side would dream of having In Their teams. we need players like Halaand to return to our dominant era in the EPL and even in earope.
I'm happy the club do not always share such biais when taking decision they feel is the best for the club. just like passing up opportunity to sing Messi because you ayiuth graduate who's playing in his position.

If he come to Chelsea it will be due to his wife liking London not because the football we play.
