I'd like us to at some point try a 442, give up the possession and be direct. Take risks, get the ball up the pitch as quick as possible, the slow build up allows teams to get back or just sit, we will become more fluid the more we get used to the system and what's expected.

Putting Giroud to one side, I’m not sure either Tammy or Werner can hold the ball for others to join the play.
We have got a group of players that in the main want to play with ball on the ground and to feet.
My issue is how slowly they move the ball, how rare it is for a midfield player to get beyond the CF. Both simple things and things I’m sure TT is working on.
I guess what I’m saying is at the moment it’s all to passive.

Does our slow build-up allow teams to get back? Or do we play with slow build-up because teams sit back?
I think our biggest problem isn't the build-up play, it's not taking our chances and getting an early breakthrough.

J, good point.
we control the game well . think if we get more (2) goals in the first half we will look stronger and control the game.
AM will be happy to give us the ball and then press hard and on top to steal and score.
we have to look to keep the ball wide and in their half if possible.
Im looking forward to this game and TT for his tactical acumen and see how he decides to play.
