Never doubted ACs ability just seemed to get bullied earlier on the season. Like many players he needed a run on the team. He had been consistently our best player recently. I would always play him over Zouma and Rudiger.

AC has been wonderfully imperious in centre of back 3. Will he keep Silva out of the team? Do you think AC would be asvgood in a back 4?

I'd say so too Jimbo, although in all fairness he never really took his chances under Lampard (he got his fair share) . Under Conte he showed his abilities, importantly: in a back 3. We still haven't seen him performing at this constantly high level (required) in a back 2 in the EPL (though I know he is playing there in the Danish national team partnered with Kjær, a more physically strong, classical 1v1 defender, and gets really good ratings by pundits and so)

For me he gets pulled out of position too easily in a pair, and finds himself defending out wide where he isn't as strong. In the three the wider CB's act as bookends, which helps him stay central and influence the game very positively. At the moment he's playing himself into the POTY conversation, he's been nothing short of exceptional.

Is it an either / or with Christensen and Silva?
The only way I can them both being accommodated into a back 3 will be to drop Azpi - which would be very unfair at the moment.

I think it's an either or to start, but not for the squad.
Silva would likely sign a one year deal, knowing he can't play every week. Christensen will also know he'll play plenty of mins, and not just in League Cup etc, whilst getting to learn from one of the best of his generation in Sliva for another year.
