For all the good job done so far by TT since coming in, it's what could be seen as a vindictive unfair treatment of CP that has personally leave a bitter taste in my mouth. i don't want another case of debruyne, Salah because pulisic is that good and in sure other big clubs must be noticing the situation. surprusinglythey have worked together at Dortmund which is suppose to make TT know his potential better.
I hope it doesn't come to selling pulisic because he's not been given a fair chance like other players.
I know he struggles with injuries but he's ok now but still not playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is my only criticism of TT so far: he shouldn't be saying in interviews that he prefers Pulisic from the bench (even if he believes it) - it must undermine CP and if I were CP I would be telling TT to do one.

Bad man management from CP.

I am a massive fan of Pulisic but when he has played he's looked well off his best.
He's still a very young player and needs to remember that and apply himself.

He has played a lot and he hasn't done anything to merit a start.
He only had a few good games post restart last season.

Familiarity (between TT and CP) could actually be doing a bit harm to Christian Pulisic, like TT confirmed in his comment about Pulisic. I have a strong feeling that it’s either TT wants to push Pulisic to put in more performance (cos TT knows how good he can be) or Pulisic is having some fitness issues.

Some quick questions to ponder on:
* What do you think of Pulisic’s stats this season to warrant him playing more games- is 2 goals and 1 assist in 25 games bad or good?
* How well do you think Pulisic has played whenever he was given the opportunity to play since TT arrived?
* What has Pulisic’s fitness level being like since the beginning of this season?

I don’t think TT has any blame cos at the moment we are in a make or break moment in the season (in the UCL, EPL and FA Cup), so it would do Pulisic a lot of good to take his chance (like Havertz did against Everton) when he gets it or risk being dropped.

Pulisic and Ziyech have some waking up to do.

obinna, I don't disagree about CP's stats or performances this season - and there is absolutely no reason for TT to change a team unbeaten in 11 and playing well.

But the point I am making is that it is not good man management to say publicly that you prefer a player from the bench -how does that motivate any player?

12 Mar 2021 11:35:23
I’m not a fan of managers making player comments in public.

I asked before if this is the approach TT has taken in other countries and if there was any evidence of how it worked out but I can’t remember any replies.

I suppose, a lot would depend on how the player reacts.

My theory is, the media in this country love a bad news story, why give them the ammunition. I’m sure TT will learn a lot about our rags over time.

TT's first objective is top 4 and he should do that any way he can.

CP wants more game time? He better perform better and take his chances.

At the moment Mount, KH and CHO are ahead of him and rightfully so.

Can't judge CP on the stat above playing under naive Lampard because no one was better under Lampard but TT gave everyone new start to life and many grabbed it like Alonso, Rudi, AC and others but didn't extend that to CP which is my worry exactly. Making comeo appearances pulisic has shown post restart that he can be doesn't really give you time to shine because the game plan must have been seeing out the game or chasing game. i don't believe pulisic can do worse than ziyech, even Werner wasteful chances if given similar opp opportunities. i don't want to see another robben after all.

I think we should have kept Carlo, Conte or Sarri as our manager but for one reason or another they are no longer with us. Why is it so difficult for some people to move on?

The King is dead long live the King.

Generally when players get picked to play they are happy, when there not picked their not (unless it’s Bogarde) .

I want us to sign Haaland and I want us to sign Rice. After we sell a few players we should have plenty of money to afford both.

My guess is the club will do its research on all its transfer targets and they will have there own value of what that player is worth. If the two clubs agree, then job done. If not just move onto the next one.

I also think Haaland will end up at City (hope not) and the happy hammers will not be selling Rice at a price that’s acceptable to us.

MDW; I don’t think it’s bad player management, motivation can at times be negative. I am sure one thing on Pulisic’s mind at the moment will be to prove to everyone that he’s not a 20-30 minutes player.

Absolutely Obinna. It’s up to Pusilic to make his claim to a starting place.
