Kante appreciate post.
Chelsea are lucky and so blessed to have a player like him. I'd even go as far as saying the best player we have ever had . EVER.

He may not be flashy and score a ton of goals but guys . You'll never seen another like him on the football field. Sharp and clever from minutes 1-90

FL and MS are some managers who tried to use his abilities in different ways which didn't always work . think TT is doing great managing a player with his talents.

I'd rather have Kante over any other midfielder . anyday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he truly is an amazing player.
Our best ever? Hmm, that's a tough one. Players like Cech, Terry, Lampard and perhaps Eden are all just as up there. Certainly there are more that can join the discussion. In my opinion, the most obvious choice would be Frank. So many more goals than any other midfielder in the PL, and winning everything with the club.
But regardless of who our best ever player is - Kante is a great player, and quite honestly just a machine. Very, very few players as good on him on his best days. Feels like he's finally starting to get back into his best form again. Massive asset.

Fantastic player and apparently a really nice man.

Not the best ever player I’ve seen in a Chelsea shirt but certainly very good.

Greaves, Osgood, Wilkins, Makalele, Cole, Lamps, JT, Ricky, Ballack, Big Pete, Hazard and the list goes on. We have been blessed with a lot over the years.

Jesus Tom, You left Zola out of that"first mentioned list" Shame on you!
I agree we have been blessed over the years, but we can't compare apples with oranges.
Imagine if the club had the financial clout they have now back when we basically had to sell Greaves (in his prime) . The older supporters out there ( I include you and me in that group Tom lol) realise what a great job the club are now doing with the financial backing of Roman. Players are now transient compared to years gone by ( as per Ed002's comments), it's now about trophys and paydays, loyalty means diddly squat (much to the angst of many of us on here) .
So, my predictions, we'll win champions league (ugly like last time, who cares, a wins a win) finish 4th in EPL and FA Cup, well who knows. Haarland will sign, he'll be a beast in EPL, ala Drogba/ Costa in their prime and we'll move on to next season with the input of whoever is there.
I do really trust the club to make the right financial decisions moving forward.
So hard to let go, but I have trust in the board to make things work moving fwd.

Kiwi, I did say “the list goes on” but you are correct I should have mentioned Zola by name.

I love your optimism and I share it but I do have this horrible feeling that the spuds will be a major challenger for the top four.

Is it just me Tom, but TT (and I agree he seems a good guy, interviews well, certainly seems to have got the boys playing as a team) seems to be adopting the "concede the least, win the most" attitude that Jose brought from Porto for our first title in 50 years. Not sure that it's really the style he wants to play, however it's about winning and points this season which is why I have high hopes for top 4 and finals.
Funny though that after years of "defence, break" with us, Real, Man U that the change in the spuds form has been since Jose has loosened those shackles and changed tactics to attack.
Loved him when he was ours, hate (well strongly dislike) him now he's not, but have to admire that after being stereotyped for many years he has changed styles, probably cause old tight ass Levy said "no money" lol so he's back where he was at Porto, making things happen with little financial backing.
They'll still finish below us though!
